I started my own business this year in Ohio and have watched all your videos several times. I appreciate you doing these man. Helps newbies like me from making mistakes. I run a Vermeer 30tx, and today I just ordered my Greenteeth and upgraded wheel. Hoping it works out for me as well as it has for you!
Hello I been watching you videos. I bought a new power king grinder to use around my home. I have a lot of pine stump. My land is 2 acres of planted pines. About one acre has been clear cut for my house. So I had about 50 stumps to grind 24”- 36”. Got about 15 done with the teeth that came one the machine. Will the green teeth make my machine grind faster. This week I got on one of biggest stumps some what fresh cut with no rot at all to it. Took me hour and a half on it. And is there a way to sharpen the power king teeth. Thank for any help you can give me on this.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nHCfovmCo7w.html I looked at the teeth they can be sharpened but green teeth would be easier and fast to deal with
Love your videos keep them coming very good info especially for guys just starting.... On 700 series green teeth with 3/8 nuts they come with grade 5 nut I switched to grade 8 nuts and they lasted longer then after thinking about it I switched to stainless steel nuts and they last much longer, if you have a good hardware supplier you can buy in bulk and they are pretty cheap just thought I'd pass this on.
Hi and thanks for informative and detailed videos 👍 Have a grinder with 30 hp Kubota diesel. In DK we have soils with few and small rocks. Questions: How often (hours of use) do you rotate and replace the teeth? Can you make a short video where you show some teeth close up when they are about to be turned and replaced (compared to new ones, little worn and over worn ones)? Thanks a lot 😎
have been grinding sice i was 17 years old, all your videos are super informative, u know as well as anyone every stump is different, u become like luke skywalker and know how to grind with your eyes closed and just by feel, i laugh when i see these guys grind amd they beat the snot out of there machine! Feel the force luke!
Great video as always! Really appreciate you taking the time to explain aspects of both the business and the equipment as well. I just bought an SG40, that I mostly rent to my buddy with a tree service, and use to make side money when he's not using it. He was renting a small toro for like 250 a day, so he pays me that now instead, and I also make money with it on the side. When its paid for I will likely give him the option to buy for a few grand, or buy a bigger machine and keep the SG40 as well. Im a few years from retiring from my main business, and will do small landscape type jobs for some cashflow once retired. I have a mini skid, tractor, dump trailer and now the SG40. Because I rent this equipment to my friend, I keep up with all the maintenance on the machines each weekend. I sure have learned a bunch from your videos on the SG already.. so keep up the great content! You are certainly helping a ton of people learn the business, and more important, the attitude that will make you successful in anything you do in life. Cheers
I sharpen my own and How deep depends on the customer, I ask if they are just going back with a lawn then 6 to 8 inches and if they are going to replant something there then I go deeper
@@mustangrebuilder Thanks for the response. I don't suppose you could find time to make a video showing how you sharpen the green teeth on your stump grinder. I understand these videos are like a second job. I own a small stumper with a 35 horse power kohler and I'm not sure how it should be done properly and sharp teeth make all the difference. Thanks for your time.
