It’s a Morgan family compound … your place, your mums place, your sisters place, and your sons place all within a very small radius of one another … exceptional 😎
Mike Shure is good to see a professional at work sitting here with a cup of coffee enjoying looking at my new 52 inch TV your digger is in my sitting room the wife thinks it's me doing all the work keep going everything looks great from IRish Leo 🎻🥰
Mike, my 28C will soon be welded! Can't wait! Another goal of mine is to get an excavator of my own.and use it to do woodlot property maintenance such as tidying up the woods that people own of windfalls and storm damaged trees. Keep on doing the woods maintenance videos! Am learning a lot.
Yes Mike You Done A Lot With The Excavator Since I Have Been Watching The Channel!! You Have Done Some Awesome Projects With It!! Keep Smiling On!! 😀👍👊
Mike, and Melissa: I wonder if you realize how many folks like me, try to watch your channel every day with my wife. I learned how to find you on my kid’s TV. However until today I had no idea how to leave a comment using the TV!’ Your likes, tastes, regards for firearms, etc mirror ours. I just bought a new Cat track loader, have 51 wooded acres in Northern Minnesota etc. you blow up stuff, I weld and machine metal, We both love the attention of hard working beautiful women. We would enjoy a time to meet someday you guys are the best!!
So true! Whenever I'm on my tractor watching those hydraulic cylinders work I'm always blown away by how much work that hydraulic system is saving me!!👍👍👍
I have a KX71-4 (3 ton machine) and it so far has done everything I have needed. Both for business and homesteading. I love the enclosed cab, and the size is perfect for my 6x12 ft dump trailer and 2016 Ford F150 5.0L. This excavator has tipped trees, dug up stumps, laid ditches, demo'ed houses/trailers, and has been amazing in so many ways around the homestead.
You can get a lot of work done with a 3 ton mini X if you know what you’re doing. I rent one a few months ago and loved running it. Got a ton of clearing done in a day. I’d love to own one, atleast for the next few years as we continue to clear and build around our property. But my next purchase has to be a skid loader. It’s needed for our sawmilling business.
Mike, you and the Rexcavator are just about one! It has so many uses. You are so good at the controls. That will be one healthy fire. Does most of the rain come down from Lake Erie? Thanks for sharing Mike!
Most of our rain has been coming from the southwest. I have heard a weather man talk about lake effect rain before but generally it’s snow we get from it. Wherever it’s been from it has been ridiculous this year. I’m closer to his new property than his house and the mud hasn’t dried this year which for summer is not normal for here. Started a dirt project early summer and I’m writing it off in my mind because I don’t see it drying this year and my machines don’t have tracks
That rake for the excavator is fantastic, so much better than the buckets, as you rightly said. Your experience is an excellent demonstration of how to do things. Thx Mike
This is kinda fun, As I just bought 697 acres bordering on a popular recreational lake in Northern Minnesota it also includes what is now a private lake as well. So, watching you do simple stuff like this is fun just to see the applications you use the excavator for. Plus, the videos on the beginning development of your new property! Thank you so much for the ideas and watching the prowess you exhibit with your equipment!
@Walter Mattson Sorry friend, I got a face that would make a freight train take a dirt road on a rainy night! Plus, I would look like an idiot operating my equipment in comparison to Mr. Morgan!
Hi Mike and Melissa, big fan here from KC. I'm in no way complaining about the music in your videos. I just want to say the music in this video was perfect. Just hit me at the right time for this kind of music. Keep up the great content!
Mike, Because I been watching you and the KX057, I fixing to rent one to do some clearing for my new shop at my lake property. It is a neat machine. I wish you and Melissa could come to Alabama to show me how to run it😊! I love watching your videos!
Hi Mike, love your videos….have been watching for a number of years now. Watch every one and enjoy them all. Would love to see another drone tour of the property to show the driveways you have been working on in relation to your property. I see the large barn in the background of today’s video and was surprised to see it so close to your Mom’s driveway. Thanks for sharing!
Oh we're having fun this morning or this afternoon got a tornado on the ground had a ride for us we got wind gusts over a hundred miles an hour we haven't even had the Hurricanes yet summertime storms suck
Just upgraded from the Kubota U35-4 to a brand new KX057-5 about a week ago And I have to say You are spot on with it being the perfect size! I went with steel tracks on mine because I am always working on lava rock here in Central Oregon. So far I love it!
Thanks for showing the rain in your last posting. Here in the Motherlode area of California we are in extreme drought and record breaking temperatures. Just seeing the rain felt good.
Yeah, Mike, 13K would be nice, but the trailering limitation IS a big deal. No so much the over 10k trailer, but having a tow vehicle with enough brakes to stop that combo is the real killer (literally?). My 8k Bobcat fits nicely on my 10k trailer and tows behind my Dodge 2500 happily, and doesn't raise the ire of a passing DOT inspector.
The new 250 superduty trucks with diesel engines have huge towing capacities. The 6.2 gas engine is 12k max bumper pull. The 7.3l gas is 15k max bumper pull. And I think the 6.7 diesel is around 20k. Gooseneck weights are different.
Great video Mike. I appreciate the commentary on the excavator. As I try to pull the trigger. It is tremendous to hear your input, especially regarding size of machine. Thank you!
Mike, you need to look at getting the disc mulcher from Rut Manufacturing, I got one for my mini excavator and it just shreds small trees and brush. No need to burn anything. One of my best attachments I have for my mini.
Mr. Morgan I’m very impressed of the way you operate the excavator, witch I call ( the gentle T-REX ). All your videos are interesting and well done. 👍🏻
High overcast is what I prefer for working on our property. No good in full sun! Taking the flame thrower weed killer to the gravel driveway as soon as it cools down a bit. Cheers from Nova Scotia 🇨🇦 PS Love my foam cannon, turbo nozzle and isotunes Air defenders. Thanks for the recommendations!
I don’t want to sound negative because I like you and your family. You seem like good people. When I started watching you it was all about firewood. Now summer has come and gone and winter is approaching. When do you think you will be doing firewood. When it snows. I think it’s great that you try to help everyone out but I think you have taken on more than you can do. You still have nice oak logs at your neighbors that you haven’t gotten yet and can’t get them in the snow. Good luck and I hope you get it all done soon but I don’t see how.
We cut and split starting in the fall for the following year. So all the wood for this year is already cut and split. I’m less than a month we start with next years wood
Hi Mike I have been watching your show for some time and found it very informative. You have all the right toys to do the job and for anyone out there that doesn't know how to do things that you do will be surprised and impressed. I was watching the movie the Truman show the other night and realized your show is very similar.
Hi Mike, agreed that machine has been a workhorse for you and alot of other people. Trailering it is a different thing with different requirements. Love what you can do with it and all the attachments.
Awesome 👍! I was using my Aunt and Uncle's John Deere 5325 on there farm to push some small trees out and let me tell you what that it's a beast! But I wish they would get a root rake grapple.
Hello, Mike you and that machine do some awesome work! If you carefully lopped that brush down or into smaller pieces so it'll lay on the ground. It'll rot much faster. I did that tosome beaver dam material. About 22 yrs ago and it's all gone now.
I agree with you about the size of your excavator. My Yanmar is about the same and it can do an immense amount of heavy work. I think the 17,000 pound machines are a very close second because they have a reach advantage. They are about a foot wider and don’t fit in as many spots. They also cost a lot more and it is not proportional to the machine size. They also use more fuel….not a big deal two years ago but now is something to consider!
We got our first shipment of Hello Fresh this week. So far, the meals have been delicious. This is coming from someone who was raised in south Louisiana so I know a thing or two about flavor.
You soooooo need to get a 7ft-9ft Sickle attachment for the tractor..... It will keep all this work you're doing from being in vain in a few years with all the regrowth. Get that sickle and keep the driveways cut back along with the trails... It'll be way worth it!.
I have a b 2650 with a back hoe I love it but I love watching Mike use his excavator. So much I bought a thumb for the hoe but they only come mechanical. So had to to have a hydraulic thumb . I made one it’s perfect with the summit valve kit. I had to make my cylinder for it. It turned out fantastic. But I can only dream to having that excavator. But dreams are cheap, 🤣. Nice job Mike.
The cabin with double garage could be nice. You could put a bank of windows where the garage doors are. That would make a beautiful home. It does take quite a bit to finish those cabins out.
Mike, Watching you play with your excavator inspired me to buy a John Deere 60G........only have 2 problems: 1. It will not be here till June 2023 2. Right now, my only use is to build a quick coupler boom attachment with a platform to lift Debbie up to wash the 2nd floor windows!! You should call JohnDeere and try to get some commission on this deal Ron
Both driveways are really coming together nicely. Won’t be long now till the leaves start falling. The trees here in South Jersey are already starting to show a tinge of brown and rust. Might be an early Fall.
Good afternoon Mike I was wondering why you weren't loading all the stuff you are ripping into Bluford and bringing it to your burn pit . At least you can burn it while you are doing other things in the wood yard . And not watching it in the driveway .
Hello Morgan's, another great video. Mike you are a magician with your equipment. I am clearing some of my land of dead ash trees. I borrowed a Bobcat excavator about the same size as yours and it was alot of fun learning how to operate. Made quite a mess until I figured it out. Much respect 🙏
GOOOOOOOD AFTERNOOOOOON EVERYONE!!!…Mike you make it look so easy & FAST! Looking forward to seeing you in the next video. Have a Day HELLOOOO Huntman!! 😁
Jack, you would have your 8 acres all dug up. :))). My 85 acres is even questionable for owning one, but I did because it is more rewarding than money in the bank
