Solido, concreto.
@@AA-le9ls If he only knew how to ball-bashing, he would not suddenly be able to put Medvedev in his pocket after 6 straight losses, since Medvedev to one dimensional ball-basher is like prime Murray to big server. Sinner also won 1/5 of his points in this match net-approaching.
@@jerryliu2541 Shelton will end up like Rune, young people exalted and pumped by their parents despite serious shortcomings. (Shelton has no backhand.)
@@FamousCroc Keep fishing. So desperate. I simply pointed out one player is superior to the other. Shelton could always better himself, but it’s going to take a lot of hard work and some humility.
And yet haters are using this match to gloat on something they had no hand in. Sinner doesn't even hate Shelton, but reason matters not to such people.
Wait for Djokovic fans to come around and start saying that Sinner only attained No.1 ranking because of Djokovic's withdrawal from French Open, being that dumb to not know that the only way that Djokovic could prevent Sinner from taking the top spot was to win the tournament and not against Sinner in the finals.
False advertising. Two hour match was all Sinner even after Shelton went up 3-0 in the third set. The highlights showed almost as many points won by Shelton. That win against Berrettini did Sinner a whole lot of good.
Other way around. Despite Shelton's solid serving percentages for the match, such was the quality of Sinner's returning which has plagued everyone in 2024, but Alcaraz.
Sinner! What a gentleman, pure class. He's my favorite mens player. Such a contrast of players. Sinner is always composed and courteous and respectful. Shelton not so much, everytime he scores a point he celebrates like it's the first point he has ever scored.
There was a tennis fan in the audience at Wimbledon, who gave Ben the hang up the phone routine to Ben that Ben loves to do when he beats opponents… It was truly an awesome moment at Wimbledon today when Ben got the phone hung up on him😂
There’s so much power in todays game. It’s scary. Even compared to late 2000s Roger Rafa. The racket technology has really put this game on another level. Some of these shots sound like gunshots.
@@ashwinupadhyay4512 Courts condition in the 2nd week might allows Alcaraz to employ more of his defense shenanigans. So he could have a better chance than many predict.
Something about Sinner's look... Frightening 😮. He doesn't have the temperamental Italian air rather cold calculated Germanic perfectionism with a sneer of its all business. Still I enjoy what he does on the court. I wish I could see him ski too. I'm told he's good .
03:00 Here Alcaraz would roar, screaming as usual even with less spectacular play and against much lower-ranked players. Sinner merely smiled (apologizing!). Go Sinner!
Sinner-Shelton matches always deliver. All four have included at least one tiebreaker & they always have such great exchanges at the end. Lots of respect there no matter what the haters try to conjure up.
Stats don't consider the level of the opponents I II III IV ALCARAZ Lajal Vukic Tiafoe Humbert SINNER Hanfmann Berrettini Kecmanovic Shelton DJOKOVIC Kopriva Fearnley Popyrin Rune
@@alessandrobrescia8180 agree, I waa to do a ranking adjusted average at the end of today (Novak still needs to play his 4th round) but actually Humbert and Tiafoe played out of their mind, so it wouldn't reflect the strength of the opposition.
Alcaraz & Sinner turned pro in 2018 but didn't start winning Majors until 2022 & 2024, respectively & they're still working on improving their games. Most informed people know it takes years of incremental, consistent improvement to reach that level of winning Majors. Shelton already reached top 20 in his first year on tour & has maintained it. With more training, time, experience, & input on aspects of his match mentality, footwork, & shot production there's no reason why he can't become a top 10 player.
and yet Shelton did. there were almost no rallies in the first two sets, so I think Jannik almost didn't expect a third set with so many rallies. but in the end, Sinner was just tougher mentally, especially after being down 4-1, and managed to turn the game around.
Sinner has massive forehand, very powerful shot. He's going to be among the best of the post Novak/Roger/Rafa group if he stays healthy. Shelton has a lot of game too, he's definitely one to watch. I did not get to see this match but good highlight compilation. I will be rooting for Novax until somebody beats him!
A DAMN SHAME! EVERY SINGLE news site online has Alcaraz pic n article(which im truly happy for him, he's an awesome player n young man) plastered, one after another after his win today. Yet not one on Jannik Sinners victory, who's #1 player in world rt now. Theyve sctewed him over every which way possible. Horrid draw(vs Djok n Carlos cake draw), putting the no.1 player in world on court 1(twice) so they can put a hyped up female brit player on centre/or the duck walkin' american with the blonde dreads, that according to media "already has the trophy".
I dont get why people hate on shelton. He is a great up incoming player. Swear people either hate that he brings some actual emotion to the game or his skin color. Ppl need to get a grip.
He absolutely goes for his shots. Often too much. It's about having the patience to rally (which he can actually do well), shot selection under pressure, having the footwork to get into position, & shortening the swing on his forehand. Also his FH grip is slightly more extreme than is ideal.
Anyway there’s no comparison between his draws and alcaraz’s/nole’s…. So far it looks like he s outperforming comparing to the others main competitors … hope this is a good start for his final
I feel like there’s too much Shelton hate! Is he a bit loud sometimes? Sure but I think he’s just a charismatic guy and great fun to watch! Wishing him all the best for future tournaments, and of course congrats to Sinner for yet another stellar performance.
@@sean9267 Ridiculous. He already has tons of young fans regardless of the picture haters try to paint in the comments. Expressive personalities have always held greater crossover appeal & marketability in business. Even with the Oscars, quieter performances rarely win. Shelton is his authentic self & no amount of petty, pressurized, personality policing will change that. Self-expression will always be essential to success in life.
I’m yet to understand why so many people hate Ben 🤷♂ I understand people will have opinions but let the guy live. He is a good player and people need to accept that. People hate on him but let’s be honest, the guy is good.
Sinner did not get out of 2nd gear and still destroyed Shelton….scary how good he is right now. Was robbed in Monte Carlo and his only other losses were to the most talented player of all time Carlos Alcaraz 🔥🔥 sinner will get his revenge on Carlos here at Wimbledon and then thrash Djokovic in the final
I like Shelton. Its just an all American yeaah. Whats the problem with that. He is his own person. But what he needs to do find a new coach. I still think he belongs in the top 5 for years to come. Same like Rune. They need to be mentally more ready and consistent like Sinner and Alcaraz. Also Sinner needs to improve as he is now just a hardhitter. Be more versatile like Alcaraz !
