I'm highly critical of skincare influencers! I'm in this phase right now where I just don't see any results of many years me taking care of my skin. I'm so disappointed with creams/serums (even with tretinoin and copper peptides) and my currentbody mask is doing nothing to my skin. You are the only influencer I still watch without cringing all the time,I have an impression everyone is trying to fool us into buying expensive products so that they can become rich themselves. I hope you keep doing the good and honest work, really. ❤

AGREE!!!!!!!! IMO……99.9% of the influencers…….is to PUSH PRODUCTS…… HOWEVER, I FEEL PENNY IS FAR ABOVE THE REST……. SHE ALSO GIVES OTHER OPTIONS AND TELLS YOU NOT TO BELIEVE IN MIRACLES…. I THINK THE YOUNGER WOMEN UNDER AGE 50 WILL HAVE A FIGHTING CHANCE……..50+ will have to accept aging as a beautiful thing, but still try and look our best……🥰

Can you please make a comparison of different laser treatments? You have so many lasers that seem to be doing the same thing - Tixel, Fraxel, the one covered in this video. Is the mechanism behind the results the same? Also if you can shed some light on collagen production based on procedure. It seems that most treatments induce collagen production but then you have lasers that seem to improve the surface, Sculptra that adds volume etc. How is the collagen production different based on those treatment - the results are very different but it’s all to do with collagen it seems. Thank you!

Well at about age 57 I started taking serious care of my skin. I had always used to decent skin care, cleansing my skin and using vitamin C and retinol through my 40s and early 50s. But I didn’t do anything else. For those who are saying that all the skin care and devices haven’t helped them I’m really really sorry because they certainly have helped me. Every single one of them has had impact on the texture and quality of my skin, as well as laxity and tone. I am regularly complimented on my skin-which did not happen when I was young and took my skin for granted. I’m so interested in this because my worst wrinkles are on my neck and around my mouth. And then I have some sunspots on my temple, where the sun used to hit my face through the car window. Thank you for this Penny.!!! I’m very interested.

My biggest fear about all skin lasers is subcutaneous facial fat loss. No matter how many times I've heard they don't reduce facial fat, I've had it happen with the Halo laser and several women I know have had similar issues with other "fat safe" lasers. It's a big problem.
@Tracie_H

Do you think softwave is safe or it will cause facial fat loss?

Me too. I have a slim face & not a single fat cell to lose!! I would look gaunt or anorexic...
@dharma__3

@@Tracie_H I don't know, depends on the practitioner's experience, knowledge and laser machine settings. I know someone who recently had a facial fat transfer (looked great) and it's totally gone 2 years later after several laser treatments! I'm nervous about it and won't try them anymore.
@samanthaashley2505
@samanthaashley2505 5 месяцев назад
This! No one wants to address it because it cuts into the massive profitability of these laser treatments. Providers will parrot the fact that there is little research showing fat loss as a side effect, while ignoring that virtually no one has bothered to study this specific side effect and thousands of people have complained.

I had micro needling with heat (RF) two treatments and noticed zero change. Additionally, there was fat loss. I also am skeptical, however I want to remain hopeful. Right around my mouth is my biggest issue and I can’t afford to loose any fat in those exact places.

Hello beautiful Penny! I hope you’re doing well! Thank you so much for showing these impressive results! I went to see a dermatologist and she said I would need two different types of laser… one for sun damage and another for the redness. Plus it might take several times for each to get full results. Of course this would be very expensive and I just can’t afford it! I have spent so much money over the years on creams, serums and potions that haven’t worked that I could have used that money for the lasers by now or a new face lol.. Have a fabulous week ❤

OMG!!!! This is FASCINATING!!! I would so appreciate your take on this UltraClear vs Fraxel. About a month back I had a Visia scan and lurking beneath the surface are some particularly awful sun spots. I saw my brand new derm last week and when she sees me next month (full body skin check) she will discuss the possibility of Fraxel to deal with 'what lies beneath'. Would UltraClear also do this. Also, if you wouldn't mind asking the company, can this be used on the neck? I have quite a bit of laxity there and can't really afford a neck lift yet.

Wow! Fantastic results! One thing I’m wondering about the microcoring part of their treatment, I’m wondering if the after effects are akin to Ellacor? I had Ellacor around the mouth and for the longest time was left with a reddish-purplish hue above my lips. Wondering if this device has the same sort of side effect?

Thanks Penn - this is great timing as I am about to have a consult for C02.. I just went on to the Ultra Clear website and there weren't any providers in my area . The largest area that could be searched on the website is a distance of up to 50 miles (from the zip code you enter). I'd love to know if there are any providers on the east coast. It would be great to be able to search a broader area on the website, if you can give that feedback to the company. Thanks again!

Not 100% related to this video, but I have a question 🙋🏻‍♀️ As a person suffering from a mild case of Ehlers-Danlos, I have just had a facelift, which I am extremely happy with however, my skin is still a bit loose and I’m looking for advice on which in office treatments would be best for me to research in order to keep my skin as tight as possible until the next time I need to go under the knife again to remove more skin. I have most all the at home devices but looking for quarterly treatments to keep my skin in the best possible condition. Thanks a ton in advance. 😊

I think fraxel is amazing. I think that this can do a little more than fraxel and it can do it with less potential downsides for people with darker skin. But I do think Fraxel is an awesome treatment, so excited that you got great results! That’s wonderful to hear 😍🩷

I have light leftover melasma spots from my recent pregnancy and I've been stumped about what is possible to do. I use a red light panel for general recovery and I've been avoiding it near my face in case it makes the melasma worse...? Any thoughts?

Some people have hd luck with over the counter Ambi cream…but check with your doctor first..also, be diligent with sunscreen, as it may darken with sun exposure and future pregnancies. I have had good luck with a few IPL treatments, but would wait until you are done with childbearing.

I haven't looked for B/A on this laser with specifically darker fitz skin tones so they may be out there... but.. She said its possible to use this laser on darker skin but she didnt say they actually tested it on them. That is a red flag to me. The laser touts being a "cold laser" but it is still causing a thermal (heat) injury. Also a red flag. I would definitely want to see it used specifically on darker skin types to ensure the outcome is equal to those of a lighter skin tone with no damage. I was an RN/esthetician for many years and can hear thru the excitement on new modalities like this. And she has a bit bias when it comes to procedures/complications being that she has fairer skin. I do, however, trust her and her opinions on skincare very much ❤❤❤❤

It friends on the intensity. The 3d miracl isn't painful (we still use numbing cream just to keep people comfortable during the procedure). But it still feels like an intense sunburn for 2 hours afterwards. For more intense treatments, we offer injectable numbing, cold air, and laughing gas.

Because this is cold, does it eliminate risk of facial fat loss vs energy devices that use heat?
@SherwoodAestheticMedicine

It is a cold ablative laser, so certain settings is less heat... but it still generates some heat. That being said...it doesn't go deep into the adipose layer of the skin so shouldn't effect the volume in your face.

Hi Patti 🩷 The person above who answered is Dr Abraham 😍 She is my trusted resource and kindly answering questions here. I did also ask the company prior to publishing this video and their answer was (quote) My question was: Is there any risk of facial fat loss with UltraClear? Their answer: No we have had zero cases of facial fat loss with UltraClear laser. I realize that shouldn’t isn’t couldn’t, I get that. But at this point the science says it shouldn’t and their cases haven’t shown so it would appear it doesn’t affect fat. This is always my #1 question because it concerns everyone so much 🩷🩷

The last patient has the age spots like I have which are a huge pita! Lol I call them sunspots no clue. I have many tools and the only one that’s helped is dermaplaning and then one of those rubber face scrubbers. Of course mine fading have taken years as I’m not aggressive about it. I’m now just turned 49 blah and so I’m so close to these spots being gone but I can tell they need a boost from something to help. I also have a scar right up between my eyes like eyebrow level since like 7 years old. I don’t want fillers but I have been wondering if like a hydropen may help it. My local go to for I’m soon trying again Botox for massater muscles from teeth grinding and they have mentioned a tool I’m blanking on the name maybe Sol (Okay I looked it up. Something called Sofwave?) I’m guessing maybe it’s an radiofreq maybe. If you have any insight to that would be very helpful. Months ago I had tried Trusculpt and had researched and people had great results, but I didn’t. Now I did happen to have surgery at the end of December, unrelated but being it was medical so I thought maybe Trusculpt didn’t work due to preop. I’m also sometimes since I’m still postoperative abdomen healing I’m using like a stomach wrap that like zaps (not painfully) it’s like a buzzing and seems to be helping post op pain. Just using it on the lowest levels. Anywho if you know anything about Sofwave would be a big help. (I keep wanting to say software or soft wave lol)

Try consulting a dermatologist and let them recommend a treatment. Some people have good results with Ambi cream. I have had a few IPL treatments on melasma and it has been reduced by 75%. Also, you need to be diligent about sunscreen, as they will darken with sun exposure.
