Thank you so much for showing us that there are still beautiful, peaceful places around the uk . Where the birds still sing . Oh and showing what 6am looks like.
Nothing is more beautiful than nature and it always takes its toll. The more you give, the more you get. Thank you for your efforts and that we can participate. Stay healthy 🌞🌞🌞👍👍👍
Very nice, enjoyed very much. The region was put into a severe lockdown since not a single person showed up. That's an historical register, Nick. Thanks again
Not one person to be seen in this video. I am sure if there was no lockdown at the time, you would have come across many other people. I want to thank you for taking the time to do this. With all the changes now in place as of 02/24/2021, I can't imagine being able to travel for a long time. Watching this and doing the walk with you has been amazing. You even found a friend at the end there! Again, thank you.
The Air Ambulance would have been tasked to fetch me 15 mins into the walk! Don't know how I missed this video but you have shown me parts of Dartmouth I have never seen! Nice job Nick.
40+ years out of England, it's a delight to assist these walks of yours - memories come flooding back. Boats are your speciality but this is certainly a popular calling. Thank you.
This video brought back so many beautiful memories. Being British, I lived in Newton Abbot for many years and had boats on the Dart. I spent wonderful days in and around Dartmouth. I've now lived in Queensland Australia for 20 years and hunger for Dartmouth and other special places but I can't afford the journey back but this wonderful video made me feel I was back there for a while. Thank you. I've subscribed and look forward to your next video. It was great NOT having pointless music in the background but we could hear the sound of the birds.
Living in Canada can be a blessing sometimes, but I feel like I am missing out on so much amazing beautiful cultures around the world when I see videos like this. I wish Canada had more to visit and see in terms of historic areas and what not, but it feels like Europe has so many untouched areas filled with old architecture and city designs that make you feel like you are in a different world or time. So beautiful, I am glad you are enjoying life Nick, you really are inspiring a lot of people just to simply live life and do what makes you the most happiest, cheers and keep it coming mate : )
Such a charming corner of the island and that really is the best time to enjoy it. I wouldn’t mind betting you had a hearty breakfast after that and still the day to look forward to.
It's great to sit here on the other side of the world and take another walk down memory lane with a glass of rum in hand. I do hope you continue with these walks , they give a lot of people a lot of pleasure . Thank you.
Great video again Nick - thanks. I think Kingswear is beautiful. Had to laugh at that seagull walking with you on the wall 😆. Can’t wait for your Dartmouth walk now.
Stuck in house after hart opp so going to watch all your walk tours your house tours and all the smugglers videos for the 3/4 time lol a good serply of coffee and biscuits lol
Hehehe, I laughed when I heard Gin and tonic!! With ice and a slice of lime. I can also be a glass of OJ and champagne for before 12 noon. Then a glass of red wine for the afternoon on a weekend yacht. Thanks.
Im starting to think this guy could film anything and it would be entertaining! I love that he puts out other types of videos aside from just yachts and they're just as easy to get lost in.
EXCELLENT Nick, & very stunning indeed. The scenery & buildings takes me back to my youth in ‘Jolly Old England’. Nice to see how well kept the buildings & paths are maintained with no graffiti (tagging) to spoil the walls & homes. Wow you guys still have pay phone booths which are a thing of the past in Canada now everyone carries a cell phone. All in all I love to see these historical & quaint little villages & your history lessons add to all our enjoyment. Once again Nick, job well done & thanks.
What bloody time do you get up in the morning. 6:20am and your already 2 miles into a walk. Crikey Nick, early beard gets the worm. Kudos to you God dam you really are reminding me how beautiful this country is. Southport does not have the same charm.🙂
Along the walk you passed by a telephone booth!! I laughed!!. That first home part small castle section was very good looking. The other home along the were very nice. Then to look at the town area with the marina so nice. Thank you so much.
Excellent Nick, well done. As a lifetime midlander, I fondly remember Dartmouth from family holidays, year on year. Oh....and Dartmouth Royal Naval College, but that’s another story!
Another piece of stunning scenery, thanks for sharing. Have to say I'm enjoying the walks as much as the boat videos. What a beautiful part of the country to dream of retiring to. Never say never, always dreamed of having a boat and somehow I've managed to end up with one so who knows what's down the road.
another awesome Walkaholic video.the first real piece of scenery you showed.you went through a latched gate, said you were at sea level.then turned around to reveal that cool little beach area.thats an awesome spot.if I lived in that area.that would be my hangout spot.
I've been watching for long... took a break and came back to him having grey hair... I love your content. Such a genuine guy, can't afford to stop watching him!
Just watched this video oh how it took me back to my childhood growing up in Dartmouth through the 70s 80s up until 97 when I moved away for work really miss that place but very very fond memories thank you....please do a walk around Dartmouth and out to the castle and coast walk to Stoke fleming
Hi Nick. Wow what a beautiful day. Once again a mirror calm water, stunning views and boats in the marina and hard standing. The season is almost back in action. Great tour and thanks for taking us with you. Stay safe and well. 🙏😎👨✈️🛥
Kingswear looks absolutely stunning. I must make a point of visiting for a day out on my next trip to Cornwall. A dream come true to own a motor yacht and a home on the waterfront. If only :-)
Thank you Nick, another amazing video. A year ago today, we went Dartmouth, as we were on holiday in Challaborough Bay. Standing on the roof of Dartmouth Castle, i looked across at the hills coming out of Kingswear and thought to myself, i wonder whats over there....Now i know, cheers.
Tomorrow after 8 weeks in lock down, we are driving to Exmouth. We have our fish & chips booked. We will drive down marine drive, to Orcombe Point, eat our chips & fish and look across to Berry head & Torbay and wish we were there.
Thanx again was wonderful reminiscing of many yrs ago holidayed in a cottage in Kingswear and we stood and watched the filming of the onedien line got Peter guilmar and Anne stalybrass autographs. If you could do Dartmouth and the walk up to the castle would be great my mum and dad always wanted to stay in the hotel think it was the gunfield but sadly never got to have there wish. How I wish I could visit Torbay paignton and Dartmouth again but unfortunately I don't drive such happy childhood memories but thanx to you I can remanise those wonderful holidays
See how the other half live. Thank you for sharing our beautiful coastline. You do realise after lockdown ends and we get back to normal this is going to be a permanent feature. Devonholic! Done extensive work on Dartmouth Castle, opposite Dartmouth castle on the Kingswear side Andrew Brownsword lives artist and creator of the forever friends greeting cards etc.
I THINK you like the marina views so well because all those boats will eventually need to be sold! Truly a broker's dream vision. Thanks for another lovely walk. We missed out the market street.
Great view along the coast there. Now be safe breathing climbing!!!!! Hehe. The history there looks nice. The country road. The locking of the fences are cute.
I'm loving these videos. Kingswear is so beautiful. This is a tough walk you did. I remember going to Froward Point on a beautiful sunny day sitting on one of those gunneries when a huge navel ship sailed out of the estuary led by helicopters and surounded by locals in their boats blowing the horns. It was a lucky coincidence being there at that time, as its off the beaten track and the best place to view it 😊. I hope you keep doing more of these walks ☀️👣🚶🌳🤸 and 'when I was a lad' stories 😃
That was so Amazing, the walk paths are Awesome, Homes Amazing/castles, the views spectacular and yes that must be the best walk yet. The gorse and flax remind me of home, NZ. I love the stone walls and paths they look cool and the war site was interesting to see, birds whistling in the back, gulls and crows heard, that was in fact a great walk and such a lovely place and so green, Thanks Nick.
Great video. Really entertaining visuals and commentary. We holidayed in this region one year after this video was made and loved so many different things in the area:eating fish and chip in Dartmouth, Plymouth Marina, playing tennis in Tavistock, walking along the paths of so many beautiful rivers, Iveybridge and the areas stunning gardens. You should do gardens in the area sometime, Nick. The House Garden, Cotehele etc. A brilliant video Tony Costa
Top bloke, we have been going to Dartmouth for well over 20 years, having had a holiday home there for most of that time I can’t believe we have never done this walk. We are heading down when all this is over and will definitely be walking this route. PS keep up the good work on the boating vids 👍✅
Another great video Nick.....I wasn't into boats until I stumbled across your channel during lockdown, I've now binged all your videos...can't get enough! The way you present is just so watchable and your enthusiasm is infectious, by far the best channel for this sort of content....keep up the good work! Oh by the way... I've decided on my 32k PA salary... I couldn't possibly have a yacht without a sky lounge!! Lol😂 👍👍
Love these walking videos showing off your amazing country! I can't wait to be able to come back and check out some of these sites. Please do make it to Dartmouth Castle!
