He's very much like the stuntman Brad Pitt plays in "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood". So calm and grounded, centered, lots of presence and for every situation a witty remark on the lips...
Scott is literally a Barbarian that has his Charisma and Dexterity Stats Maxed out. It's rare seeing someone so passionate and talented yet humble and personable. He deserves so much more credit than he's ever received.
It really is. He is so talented and charismatic. Even does a LEGIT American accent. He deserves AND has earned his right to be in the DC or Marvel Universe... ...and not as "Lucian / Strong Zealot" from Doctor Strange but a major character. Batman would be amazing role for him and we would all like to see him there but sadly I don't think we'll ever see that. I hope I eat my words. Scott, if you're out there and you read this, WE LOVE YOU MAN!
@@DubbleTee He's also make a great Kraven the hunter I actually pitched him to play moon Knight but Hollywood doesn't like casting actors that aren't already A list actors it's a shame that's why the movie scene is so linear nowadays
As soon as Nerf Jon Wick came up and he's like "I need you to poke as many holes as possible..." pffft it's gonna be nothing but praise and Niko knows it. That video is top tier action. That's the whole conceit of Corridor IMO - indie studio that does it better than the big boys
He was so obviously flattered and starstruck when he was just complimenting the Nerf John Wick video (rightfully so, it’s one of the best original action videos this platform ever put out), so sweet to see him happy to be acknowledged by someone he has so much respect for.
What a perfect fit for the corridor guys. Scott’s a class act and absolute legend. Having him compliment your choreo tho? Sheeesh man. What a dope thing to put on ur resume
@oeufdufromage Professionals vs a VFX artist, ofc the professionals will be better. But that doesn't make it bad. Just to give an example, take prime Usain Bolt vs the number 100 fastest guy in the world. Usain bolt wins, but that doesn't make the other guy slow.
@oeufdufromage No one said it was as good as a professional. My example is to show that just because one is better, doesn't mean that the other is bad.
I'm starting to wonder if one you have similar taste in vids to some ppl or you just watch all of RU-vid but none the less I respect how you've become a RU-vid comment icon. May you always get top comment!!!
Scott is probably becoming "Top 5 people you'd love to have a beer with" on a lot of people's list. Also "Top 5 people you'd like to have with you in a bar room brawl"
Dude Scott is one of the most chill and nicest guys especially when he does his Art of Action stuff and martial arts tutorials on his channel, I do actually want to have a beer with the man cus I've also been training in multiple fighting styles ever since I was a kid (currently training in kickboxing/MMA) and he's actually one of my inspirations
i think if undisputed 2 was released anytime between 95-02 he would. undisputed 2 was in 06 and i think he JUST missed the cutoff. he absolutely should be a megastar. and it is indeed a crime. he should be a go to action guy in hollywood. he's got character range he does great fight scenes and he's a good looking dude. it's so odd he's not a household name.
I love that Niko looked like all his Christmases and Birthdays had come at once when Scott not only complimented the choreography in the short films, but said to come and choreograph one of his films.
I don't get why they even bother with actors for action movies. like just make the stunt guys the star, they're the ones actually doing all the cool shit anyway....
@@noahwhite659 who cares though, we're not watching action movies for the acting. Like best action movie series ever is ong back or the protector or whatever it's called Tony jaa got his bhuda statue/elephant stolen and now hes pissed. It's all you need to know really. Dont even need subtitles or anything XD
@@derdes4475 do a twist on Deadpool/Hitman's Bodyguard. Have Ryan play a fictionalized version of himself that's attacked, and have Scott be his stuntman that ends up protecting him.
Damn, Scott is such a great guest for the show, he talks more than most of your guests and after getting the question he just carries the conversation forward, constantly feeding information to the viewer. Honestly a pleasure to listen to him, his insight and knowledge of the industry are delivered so well to the viewers. I guess what makes such a difference is the fact that Scott not only has the knowledge since he does the stunts, but his actual acting experience helps him hold the conversation on camera in a very chill yet information packed manner.
If he could pull off an American accent and be extremely cocky, I could totally see him portraying an older Johnny Cage. A lot of his flips give me that vibe. He’s really entertaining to watch too!
He is the guy who can steal your girl & all you will keep wondering if You were that girl (he is not only handsome but everything about him is almost to perfect)
@@tychothefriendlymonolith Yeah, he can keep the accent and I wouldn't even care. Even though he can do a good American accent, I love his natural accent. Out of curiousity, how were you able to place his accent to a specific city in England? I'm an American very interested in accents. We mostly have different accents by state but not a specific city. Are accents that varying in England, city by city?
Man... Scott has been my favorite action actor for years now and it's so cool to see him on one of my favorite shows. I've always thought that he is so slept on as an actor and any time he makes an appearance in a big budget film, I get so excited.
They did three things in this episode: 1: They got Scott Adkins AND Freddie on the couch. 2: They referenced Jackie Chan to come and sit down with them. 3: They referenced GUARDIANS OF FREAKING GA'HOOLE!!!!!!!! Let's hope we see this again in future episodes!
Tbh most actor who are willing to play the bad guy aren't a bad person. They are professionals who don't mind their image being "damaged". Meanwhile some actor have to control over how badly their ass can be kicked in the movie. Or how flawless their character have to be.
@@owenlee7146 Yeah, I heard about how Vin Diesel and The Rock had a contract on how many hits each one could take relative to the other. It's stupid egotistical BS. Just makes me respect and appreciate actors like Scott even more.
@@ehongkongwong if I am not mistaken Vin Diesel actually came up with a mathematical solution to make sure everyone was hit the same amount during fight scenes. No one approved it even tho it was p solid reasoning
Scott Adkin's is a hilarious person, on top of being a phenomenal action director and choreographer. His ability to put himself into the role is very top tier too. It's not just that, but just how he can hold a conversation with just about anyone. I genuinely love seeing him on the channel. Also, mega props to Corridor Crew for their own action scenes, humor, and affable personalities. Everyone is just great, honestly.
I've always thought he looked like a more hard core version of Ryan Reynolds for sure. And yeah, him as the Deadpool stunt double in Origins was pretty fitting.
One of these days, I'd like to see Scott and Amy on at the same time. They're both so great, but they could also break down the awesome work they did together in Accident Man.
Stupid idea for a fun video: "what's even happening?" The idea is its an action type video, but EVERYTHING is just all out of whack, some examples: - someone gets kicked in the gut but act like they got hit in the face, - using a gun to stab someone like its a knife, - backhand slapping someone and their head violently explodes, - landing a hit and the reaction are obviously out of timing, - a guy gets hit in the nads and upon impact the camera cuts and the *actor* is swapped with an *actress* - one scene theres so many jump cuts that the fighters stop as if they're aware its happening, and wait for a steady camera to continue the fight etc etc :p
@@slyane7320 Yes! I met him in New York City a few years ago! I was so flustered, I didn't ask for a photo or autograph, lol. I said so,nothing along the lines of, "you must really appreciate the fans who recognize you, because you know they're REAL fans!" I felt so stupid, lol. I met George Clooney and JLo in Florida when they were filming Out of Sight. And Milla Jovavich in Portugal in 2000. That's my famous person list, but Ray was still the coolest.
@@kendyer8761 it is good lol. Sure the ending is a bit too Marvel-y, but the cinematography and fight scenes are great which is prolly the main reason you’re gonna watch the movie
Long time fan of Scott. Such an under-rated performer and actor. He should be doing all A-level movies and have his own John Wick level quality series.
The forearm part, where he is talking about martial artists not being hurt by it; it is called mirco-fracturing. That's how you can do the knuckle punches and shit. Even being out of it for years, it is still noticeable. I could kick tree stumps and be fine, where my cousin broke a toe hitting the wall. Taekwondo is mostly focused around legs, this man Scott prob had to do outside conditioning.
Weird you say that, cause from my experience fighting guys who did taekwondo basically every block is a fore-arm block, like the an makgi or arae makgi. Also, when blocking with forearms so much the muscles absorb a lot of the hit, you can see in the scene at 10:52 when he says he is anticipating the kick, he uses the flexor muscles to absorb it. A friend of mine who did Taekwondo had the strongest forearm of everyone I knew
This is literally the perfect group. I absolutely love the chemistry between Freddie and Scott, mixed with the insight and kinda dry humor of Niko. It's so enjoyable, insanely interesting, and brightens my week. :)
That scene where Scott forgot to fight and then he remember is actually one of the best from his work in my opinion, its so satisfing to whatch that transition between average nonfighter and fucking confident fighting mashine, fighting is actually knowledge, this realy works in movies, evolving, change, improvement, I think his talent is often shaded with no very good scripts.
Scott's is a really an institution when it comes to action, fight choreography, and stunts. Really love this series as well. How about Ray Park in the green crouch reacting to stunts?
10:49 I honestly don't think it looks like he did it too soon, to me, it looks like the character saw an incoming hit and put their arms up to protect their torso/head by pure reaction. Don't know the movie or the character is about, it looks like how a normal person might protect themselves from being hit after being hit already
Scott Adkins being so impressed with how good Corridor is at stuntwork with so little time is the highest compliment. They really could do Hollywood choreography.
I was actually quite impressed by the 'Infinity War' opening bout between Thanos and Hulk and Hawkeye/Ronin vs. the Yakuza in 'Endgame'. For a superhero movie the last thing I expected were things that weren't super fanciful but was just pure dirty boxing and some stylized fighting without showing a lot of fighting.
@@HermanFalckHow thats not even the bare minimum... its significantly different to make superhero fights than regular people... you just cant have the same type of fights when the fighters can literally break a normal man in half, with a punch. The physics change completely... they have to change, otherwise the participants look comically underpowered.
@@HermanFalckHow I think you've missed the point, but if you wanna talk about budget maybe wait until Corridor makes a "TV/Film Producers React" series lol
Scott has been one of my favorites for probably 10-15 years. His scenes are some of if not the best I’ve ever seen. The 3way fight with tony jaa and the other guy was incredible.
Niko "It's just a lot of, like, doing it in your imagination over & over. It's watching John Wick, and then like, playing with the Nerf gun _pretending_ you're John Wick" Ahh, the Lee Strasburg method. As David Harbour said about it on Hot Ones "...it's not about actually like, *being* the character, because you can't. It's about your metaphoric relationship. Acting _as if_ you're the character"
@@MrALenCar321 You Fool! Read my comment properly. I didn't say Scott is better Actor then Ben. I replied to him that Scott adkins is way more Popular then Ben because Scott is a Martial artist. His Action sequences are mindblowing. Watch Undisputed franchise. We want Batman like that.
In “Never Back Down”, there’s a fight with a capoeira fighter who gets knocked to the floor half way through a front flip. If you search RU-vid, you can find a behind the scenes footage of this fight showing that it was done in a single take. My question is, how did that guy drop to the floor so fast? Was it a wire pull? If so, how is the wire attached allowing him to do all the flips and shit before the hit? If it wasn’t a wire pull, how did he kill the momentum of his front flip so fast? Did he just take that hit for real?
Hey, I’m assuming you mean the fight where the capoeira fighter gets knocked in one punch by the main antagonist? Essentially, the actor attempts a cartwheel into the antagonist in attempts to make a move. If you watch the clip, you’ll notice that the capoeira guy makes a complete rotation onto his feet before getting “hit”. It’s actually not too difficult to reverse the momentum from forward to backwards as long as you have your feet planted and are anticipating a strike. As soon as the capoeira guy gets hit, he shoots his legs out from underneath him, and arches his upper body towards the floor. This gives the effect that the punch was effective enough to knock him out in one punch through sheer force and accuracy!
@@KidRyu_ Yeah Capoeria guy obviously knows hes supposed to get punched because of choreography. So as soon as his feet hit the ground he throws himself back hard, at the moment the punch is to land
Hear me out, I have an idea for your next video. What if you remade the face melt scene from Indiana Jones, the scene can have so much more with modern VFX! It was a work of it’s time, and you can do so much with the scene!
I came here from the app just to say WATCH THE EXTENDED VERSION. There are so Many more questions being asked and Scott is even funnier in the extended. Why they just started doing this is mind blowing.
When Scott says we did the Best we could for 2 day shoots of fight scenes in a small budget film but with top tier Martial Arts actors that wanted to work with each other vs 7day shoot in a Big Budget HK film. Talk bout modest it’s the fight scenes n actions that make or break an martial arts action film & you guys Killed it & we appreciate the Yards!!
We need to start a movement for casting Scott as Johnny cage in MK2. He can really fight, he’s actually funny, and like someone else mentioned his charisma is definitely there. He’s Johnny.
You guys pick great quests for all of these stunt reacts. Scott has been a favorite of mine for a long time. Congrats on getting him to sit down with you.
I love this man - Mr. Scott Adkins.. i really think he is the best martial artist in the world. He have the belts, experience, and he most of all.. he have something most other dont have.. he is humble and down to earth...
To the 417 people who gave this a thumbs 👎 down. RIDICULOUS!! That was a ton of fun watching Scott Adkins explain the art of how an action movie works. WELL DONE!!
