I've suddenly developed an interest in this show 28 years after it finished. I was only about 13 at the time. I might have had a vague idea about it back then.

Used to watch this on TV for the music. But rarely went clubbing to places like this because I hated getting dressed up. After a week in a shirt and tie in an office, I preferred putting something casual on. Manchester clubs latched onto this the first and relaxed their dress codes. Other more provincial ones stayed rooted in time.
