Hello everyone! To brighten up this Sunday evening, I thought nothing would be better than go over some style lessons from The Marvelous Mrs Maisel. If you haven't watched the show, it's about a 1950's housewife that, after being left by her husband, starts a career in stand-up comedy. It's not only an amazingly written, highly entertaining series, but it's also a huge inspiration if you're in love with 50's and 60's fashion like me.

I have to re-visit Mrs Maisel. Enjoy so much Mariana your videos. I wear driving gloves religiously and it makes me feel very chic quasi Grace Kelly with sun glasses. I used to own a classic convertible and wore leather gloves (red, black, silver, brown!) during winter (classic cars do not have heated driving wheel or heated seats ;)... I now own a more modern vehicle but miss having the necessary excuse to Don leather gloves while driving 🚗

I haven’t watched Mrs. Maisel lately, but when I did, it was for the clothes. I also thought Rose was the most fabulous. Everything you pointed out was seen through your amazing knowledge of style, fashion and history. You pointed out things that are subtle but important in describing the wearer. You are so talented with so many gifts and talents. You’re a real joy to watch and listen to. A real pro!

Hi Mariana. You always look so polished and I always look forward to your videos, very inspiring. I am in my early sixties but always dress classic elegant and get a lot of compliments. I don't watch TV but I do watch a lot of RU-vid videos for inspiration on fashion and beauty. keep on being a beautiful polished classy lady and keep the videos as inspiring always.

The saddest moment from season two when Rose has to go from Paris. It blossomed there, but she had to go back to her old life, and it seemed no matter how much it hurt. Sure, she tried to smuggle things in Paris into her everyday life, but it didn't seem to work for her like there. We could see how stuck she was and trying to break out. I would love to see a fully happy Rose, she deserve it.

I absolutely love this fashion analysis of the Mrs. Maisel character wardrobe and I will have a gin tonic or a spritz for everytime you say Pleated midi. lol Maybe you could talk about brands that make a gorgeous pleated midi? I find it somewhat difficult to find them shaped properly. That could be an entire video? Best wishes from Milano!

Hey Amy! A gin and tonic sounds perfect 🥂 For the pleated skirt, I honestly get mine all from H&M. Their structure is a little more simple (no zip or contouring seam), but I find they do the job very well. However I do have my eyes on something a bit more constructed (there’s this brand called The Seamstress of Bloomsbury that makes beautiful vintage-inspired pieces that I’ve always wanted to try). Hope this helps 😉

Hi Mariana. I just discovered your channel. I love that you are young and classic and everything you say about classic fashion is spot on. (I love the 60's fitted dress, I am obssessed with Breton tops, and scarves.) But what I really like most of all is your stance on posture, body language, and demeanor. Do you color your hair? Your color is gorgeous! Just like Mrs. Maisel 😉 The actress actually has blond hair in real life and I prefer the brunette on her- makes her look so elegant!

Hi Lisa! I’m really shocked Rachel Brosnahan is a blonde. The brunette shade suits her so well! I love the chocolaty brown hair with her milky skin. Such a classic contrast! Ps.: I’ve actually never colored my hair. It’s so fine and it falls quite a lot, so I’m afraid the chemicals might do further damage.

My favorite outfits from Midge her most casual ones specially from 1x3, when She and Lenny are in the jazz bar. I'm in love with that dress. (And Midge and Lenny, fav couple) And her fancy dress from 3x15 when she is "dating" with Lenny. Magnificent.
