Fashion sees individuals following a trend. Style sees an individual setting the pace! Fashion conforms, style creates!

Wonderfully put PROFF! You talk about style as an artistic endeavor, and it really is, you put it wonderfully. If one wants to be an artist you have to know the fundamentals before you can branch out and create your own artistic style, it is a direct parallel to clothing in that regard!

Fashion is for kids, celebs, rookies and the uninitiated. Style is for seasoned gentlemen.

I kid you not, last night I was thinking about how you must understand both the art and the science in order to create a suit that looks good. Then you post this video.

I agree. I work in a school and all the kids seem to think they have style because they all wear the same shoes (usually nike dunks or adidas sambas). That's current fashion trends, not style.

A robust body type serves you well in reality but not in the anorexic wonderland of fashion.

Fashion comes and goes but style is eternal,if well developed it stays with you and defines who you are ❤

Creativity in spite of Rules.

Style is the uniform of the soul. Can't remember where I heard that but it makes sense and continues to just work, it lets you look at a photo of yourself 20 years later and not suffer intense embarrassment. One other thing I'm so glad he's doing here is wearing proper socks - I detest these ones that show ankles (who came up with THAT for men??). Proper full length that at least go to the knee for a suit or trouser, only way to go. Most useful when you're subjected to a hideous waiting room sofa that sinks you so deep you get the bends when you try to stand up again.

Currently best suit cuts on market ( not in order) Ask okey Tom Ford Caraceni Huntsman (jacket good trousers not so much) Liverano ( one of the best colorful classic jackets) Husbands Paris (beautiful classic suit)

Very interesting take on the differences. The rules don't have to be followed to the letter. You learn from them and then make them your own. Love it.

Fashion comes and goes. What's fashionable today may be outdated tomorrow. I think style is something that is more personalized, style will last because it's an extension of your personality. You get the chance to create.

Otherwise you’ll always be in debt and as mentioned above , miserable.
