How on earth can 264 people dislike this absolutely beautiful rendition of this Styx song? Some people just make me shake my head. People my age, 67 or older, listened to this timeless music when it was first released many, many years ago in our youth.
Styx is such an underrated band, all there music has stood the test of time.Crystal Ball being my favorite, but all have a meaning.I am75 now & still love them Tommy never ages😊.☮🌞🌴
For people who've followed Styx from their beginning s can finally see and learn that Tommy Shaw was an intégral, original member who actually sang a great majority of their greatest hits and was, is, an excellent lead guitarist ! Bravo to the original founders...the Banazoe brothers!
Boat on the River is the Styx song that is most likely to stand the test of time and still be played in 100 years because of its timeless and eclectic nature.A true classic on the same level as Yesterday and Dust In The Wind.
I am old now but music touches deep. Styx,a very versatile band.very difficult to say which is my favorite. Great meaningful lyrics. Love boat on the river.
Do Not surprise too much my friend. American have the most weird taste in music, Completely against us middle east ppl. And it's all based on the taste of music company who produce the CD to what song they put on it, The Only and only thing they care is to make more money, Nothing else.
I love these concert with the CYO orchestras... it s a joy to see these kids get so into it. Music is so cathartic, and its language spans generations.
Never gets old...still so beautiful in my ears, I'm a mid 90's guy but my dad introduced me to the rock music of 60's, 70's and 80's. Nothing compares to them. Freddie Mercury of Queen, Allan Parson, Walsh of Kansas, Reo speedwagon, Beatles, Eagles are just few of my all time favourite rock band vocalists. 👏👏👏👏👌👍💕❣
The first time I listened to this masterpiece I was driving on the highway. It was so incredibly beautiful that I had to stop on the emergency line to listen to it without any distraction..
Yes, it DEFINITELY has slavic melos. I'm not familiar with the biografical facts of the members of this group, but this slavic-russian mood had to has come from somewhere.
Its been such a long time since I have heard this song and I just can't believe that I have waited so long to get back to a great band with so much talent and passion for music
Boat On The River may very well be the most universal pop song ever written because it can be adapted to fit in perfectly in Greek,Hebrew,French,Italian etc..
