I think this tank is actually so underrated imo, one of my best tanks stats wise, it just worked for me

I had very low expectations of the su101 from the skill index, and it was a big change from the su100m1, but once you got to the top gun I actually enjoyed it and did quite well. The grind for the gun is SOOO painful though

I was surprised you were getting spotted through the bushes in first game but considering the crew it make sense, this tank has incredible camo with the skill trained so it's actually way better once you have 3-4 skills to work with

I'm going to have an unpopular opinion and say this was my favorite in the line. I never paid much attention to the 8 until I bought it back to 3 mark it. Man, what a beautiful beast it is when people are not that experienced. Heavies, beware of this tank in close quarters.

I enjoy playing this tank and was easily marked. Tough tank against even tier 9 and although gun is not so accurate, still manage to do well in most battles. Cheers and thanks for the great channel and entertainment.

still remember my experience with this tank, absolutely loved it and aced it several times, when i got the 263 i thought it was going to be legendary since everyone praised 263 and not this and for my surprise i hated 263 so hard it is insane

SU101 was my first tier 8 and I like it (I'm still relatively new) and I'm currently using the 320 alpha gun. The dpm, accuracy and aim time are better, though it only has 219mm of standard pen but 330 heats

Currently, I'm at tier 9, fully researched. 101 is just another tank with the big gun. After fully researching the tank, field mods included, it was one of the best tanks in my garage, result wise. I love it. I just go in the heavy line, hull down. It's op against t8 and lower. And bounces a lot! In tier 9 and 10 just snipe from the bush. It's like a su-130 with a bit less accurate gun, but with good armour and better mobility.

I played it with a turbo and went full jihad. Armor is not reliable, but it can side scrape against pretty much any standard rounds at tier 8. You can't shoot while side scraping, but I've humiliated many heavies by bouncing their shots then swinging around and penning mine. It's better to get in people's faces and sometimes die then hang back where your gun chases butterflies every time you shoot.

I love this tank. One of my few 2 stars without even going for 2 stars. It is a hull down flank holder or aggressive hull down monster

I actually enjoyed the SU-101 unlike most people. The thing I learned with that entire line is not to go with fully meta equipment. Using Grousers, IRM and either Vents or an equipment to your liking not only helped with the gun accuracy (cause of IRM) but also majorly helped with the tanks biggest flaw, which IMO, is the traverse speed. Overall for me it was one of the more underrated tanks I have played.

Before this line was reorganized (when the bobject was introduced) the 101 was faster, had less armor and better gun handling. It was more fun. FWIW this is the same gun as the IS4.

I really like this tank, the gun works for me because I play close range anyways! The armour works against same tier enemies, it doesn’t against tier Xs but of course not. Mobility is nice aside from turn speed. Gun depression is the worst but that’s up to you to find the best positions for that

Just finished grinding out this tank, only 10 more armour from the tier 7 tank so you dont feel as tough but the gun, damage, and overall fun I have in this tank bobbing around and gettin in front of people to blast them has been fun. If i find a spot where my lower plate is covered I can usually go toe to toe with tier 9s unless they have an accurate gun or lots of gold pen. Overall I had an absolute blast grinding this tank out, even when you get mad cuz you cant aim down far enough and get shot from below lol

When i grinded this line i really enjoyed the tier 8 and the tier 9 especially the tier 9 It was very nice,fun experience.

Oh I love this tank. To be fair, I do use it with the smol gun and full heat. It doesn't have armor, but you can poke the enemies to death with that 340 pen.

When I played this line back in the days when T9 was Su-122-54 and TX was OBJ263 I hated the SU-100M1 and SU-101with both the stock gun was garbage where you had to spam gold since it had low penetration and the gun depression was really terrible and from what I remember is that back then the armor was also a joke.

skill if you have not tryed it yet plug your facecam on a USB 2.0 (it's black instead of blue). I was having the same problem with my microphone a few years ago and it was related to the USB 3.0 power management and my mic not being compatible.

I had very good results when grinding through it tbh and liked it a lot. 263 was a step down from it. The high camo and strong gun makes it pretty good. Don't need to aim for weakspots on tier 8's and you dont feel so weak when bottom tier either.

the armor is a huge troll and it works almost like a heavy , but the gun is like russian roulette especialy if WG want you to lose anyway

I grinded this line quite some years ago. But I liked the mobility, look and alpha damage of SU-101. What I did not like was lack of gun depression, trollish gun and standard penetration, BUT it's now better (248) and when I had SU in my garage the penetration was about 219, got buffed later. Please make a video about Ob. 263. I really liked it as a tier X, but as a IX... i completely don't get it...

Maybe I just had good luck with this tank but this was one of my favorite in the line. The gun behaved very well and hit hard enough that I felt comfortable even at bottom tier MM. Armor was surprisingly trolly and I had strong win rate.

I thought it is garbage i will suffer as it is in index page, but after while of playing it i really enjoyed tank from stock to upgraded, pen is insane accuracy fine, armour trolly and can ding even 340 heats with upper part, i kept playing it in first line doing easy 3-4k like nothing, it is hard tank but its not bad in any meaning

Side scraping with SU-101 is The butter of The bee for this tank, it will make you happy to see almost NO penetration🎉

I loved the Tier 7, and I was so disappointed when I got the tier 8. I agree -- it's the worst in the whole line. 7,9, and 10 are all amazing.

It's a playable tank, but the stock grind is so bad on it

I would drop the vents and use improved aiming unit of course bounty one fully upgraded, it makes day and night gun handling difference and for sniper maps I have alternate loadout of improved aiming, gun laying drive and vents.

I found it to be a magnificent vehicle. Though I try not to be completely frontal with the enemies, I like to angle it just a bit, belive it helps but may be placebo, dunno. When you are fighting lower tiers you dominate, but still have to be mindful of low hp. Vs higher tiers you are inferior and should play the opposite of vs t8 and lower, so hide and thats it.

idk how I manage to ding tier 9 tds but I guess I am really lucky in this tank cuz when I go hull down in this I am pretty confident not alot of ppl are gonna pen me

This used to be one my my favourite performers.

I played it recently and yes, the accuracy is garbage, but the high penetration is saving it so it can be decently consistent. The real problems start when you have a tank that combines bad accuracy and penetration like BZs do for example.

In my opinion it's not bad TD. But you are kind of right. I loved the tier 7 SU-100M1 and i had researched the tier 8 in no time. And while the su-101 kind of seems and kind of feels like the same tank but upgraded to match tier 8, i stopped playing with it and i miss the tier 7. Something is off with this vehicle. It's not just you xD

During my grind to get the Bobject this was the worst tank I played. I couldn't wait to get on to the next one and sell this POS!

When i went through the line, i found the Su-101 more enjoyable than the obj 263

currently trying to 3 mark this tank, it's very frustrating because every time I get to 92-93% I get 4 shit battles and drop back to 89-90% it has potentially, but it's very clunky and hard to use

I played this tank before the last buff so maybe my experience is outdated but: I liked the gun a lot on this tank. The nice pen, the 440 alpha, the dpm... I like this gun on every russian heavy, I also enjoyed it here. Maybe the mobility worth a mention as it can easily relocate. But everything else sucks about this tank. The armor is unreliable unless you use your gun depression... which is 3 degrees. 3! Really frustrating. And the horizontal gun traverse is also only 10/12 °. On the topic of armor, this tank is prone to get set on fire (at least from what I remember). The gun is also unreliable at long ranges and then you realize that you only have 28 shells. If you snipe you're gonna run out of ammo quickly. So it's truly a low tier killer, becuase than it has the armor, the dpm and the mobility to be deadly. But other than that... A truly frustrating tank to play. (A passing mention: It has surprisingly good camo. As I've said sniping is not really an option, but you can ambush sometimes.)

340 heat is crazy for a tier 8 tank

I'm XP-ing this monster right now. For me it's not the best tank in the game. But I'm having a lot of fun with it. 440 alpha, great standard and gold penetration at very good. And if Im in bad MM, I'm pretending I have no armor and still bounce something. Also it's mobile.

I prefer this tank to tier 9. Don't really know why. Maybe a bit less gold flying around in 1 tier lower matchmaking.

For me Skill is right 2 stars is genrous, this tanks gun will make you go bald from the missing, armor is not reliable against gold, its increadibly inflexible due to bad gun depression and gun arc. One word review: PAIN Tier X,IX and VII are good tho

i actually loved su-101, put aiming device on and take advantage of the insane camo rating. you can use armor if you are hulldown only, but it can sometimes work. i liked object 263 even more. but i hated bobject with all my heart. easily my most hated tier10 tank. bounces and misses all the time with awful gunhandling, and gets penetrated in the face by gold. and it cannot snipe from the back at all, even worse rhan 263. only tier ten tank ive sold

This td is kinda underated at times

This tank having worse dispersion and aim time than the SU-130PM is a travesty. It's dispersion is even worse than the IS-7's.

I've had fine games with this machine. And I'm a crap player. The armour is very inconsistent, however.

Pretty sure skill is wrong on this one. I used a 5 perk crew in this tank last month and did great with the amazing armor and camo with the average everyday russian gun. The tank is that good.

Now am not a fan of no-turret but this was so bad I used free XP & blue prints to get out of it............good mobility so if grinding set up for vision & camo and spot with it :)

I don't think SU-101 is that bad. The gun may be trolling hard but with russian 340 HEAT most of the time you don't have to aim anyway. Just shoot into an enemy tank's general direction and you'll most likely pen.

I could not get this vehicle to work for me AT. ALL. The T7 was so much better and fun. This thing relies on angled armor too much, and makes the armor inconsistent and unreliable. The lack of gun depression SEVERELY limited flexibility, and the limited HP means it is so hard to play aggressively. Maybe I am just the weirdo that couldn't make it work, but that is my opinion.

101 is definitely not the best, since it's basically 100m1 as a higher tier. It's in a similar situation as super hellcat (although there it's better since hellcat got nerfed). 101 can definitely work, I like the tank, but it works less reliably which can be annoying

Tier 7 is beast but tier 8 isn't good it has same efectiv armor like tier7.

I also hated this tank, i only started liking it a little when i finished grinding the 263, which i didnt enjoy much either. Bobject and su 100m1 are the best in this line by far

I love this tank, and personally, the only thing that annoys me is its gun depression....speaking about armor, let's be honest, it's WOT where armor is non-existent.

Personally, Im not a fan of the new 2.0 index. Here are my critiques on the new layout and why, while it looks nicer, is actually a downgrade over the first iteration: 1. All the excess javascript on it to make it look flashy and nice has made it lag like kaku. The old version was fast and responsive. And before people jump down my throat about it, no, it is not my broswer or my PC as I never have issues on any other page. 2. Having to use a drop-down menu to select the country tech tree instead of just clicking the flags spread out and readily available does not feel new or intuitive. It feels like a relic of websites from the early days of the internet. 3. Having to click between tabs to get the ratings, loadout, comments, WN8, MoE, and field mods is, again, time-consuming. I get that it looks prettier. However, you are placing aesthetics over utility and makes it inconvenient to see all the information all at once. My suggestions: 1. Make an option to turn off the flashy graphics for the index. The burning sparks floating through look pretty but slow down load times. 2. Bring back the option to view the tech trees with the nation's flags at the top of it to quickly switch between different trees instead of having to use a clunky drop-down menu. 3. If you want to keep the tabs for information, that's fine. Just consolidate them down a little. Have one tab for rating and comments, one for loadout, crew skills, and field mods. And have one tab for WN8 and MoEs. I love what you do Skill and the content you make. Always great time watching your streams. Keep it up!

101 is better for me, than the 100 was. I prefer the SU100 all the way.

It really doesn't feel like a bad tank. If the matchmaking isn't in your favour there are many, many tanks that can't do nothing about it and you'll have to play them a lot more carefully. Also Skill is saying that the gun is bad but in the index I don't see an equipment configuration to improve it when you have to snipe, which makes no sense whatsoever. Now there is this "Gun rammer" meta and everyone uses it everywhere and it's just wrong to me honestly. What's the need of shooting a bit faster if you can't hit your shots? Just drop it and use improved aiming; and if you feel like it still needs to improve, drop hardening too and use vertical stabilizer or whatever else. This is the first time I see myself disagreeing with Skill.

Maus has 246/334 of pen, this vehicle has 258/340 and it is in tier VIII. Lets compare with german tier VIII: 246/311, same. or 215/334. And it has faster real aimtime than germans. Inflinitly more armor and mobility. How is this vehicle bad? The aiming time is a little worse but the dispersions on moving and turning is half of the german vehicle. The accuracy is worse but it ever shoots the center while the german never.

Well Hate to say it :( But I warned ya a 2 weeks ago that it wasn't the cable and not to waste your money yet.. And I got some / little bit of shit about being wrong and didn't know what I was saying etc. So once again in my educated opinion Before you buy a new camera or anything else.. It's Most Likely A Driver or Setting Problem.. From switching From a GForce card to a AMD card back to a GForce card... There is most likely a old driver or piece of old driver conflicting with the one your using now.. And Like I said back then I highly doubt that the AMD card was in anyway messing with your Sound Quality UNLESS your running your whole sound system through say the HDMI / DP / USB-C port.. which I doubt your are ? or shouldn't be .. So the advice from 2 weeks ago is the same.. Before ya go and spend Thousands on a new camera or something.... Get someone that knows and understands the video card settings AND completely wipe & remove All the drivers from both cards Download a program like DDU--Display Driver Uninstaller remove ALL drivers then re-install the 1 for the card your going to use.. Start there... then make sure the video settings are correct ( lots of Help video's) to walk you through it... THEN start looking at new or different hardware if the problem persist.. Once again Just my 2 cents AND its your Money :) Good Luck and keep up the Great Work !!

I can't stand this tank. Never bounces anything, tons of single shot fires, and horrible stock grind. I hated it so much I ended up quitting the tree entirely.
