3D models used: sketchfab.com/... sketchfab.com/... If you want to learn how to do this, the program is ANSYS, and I have tutorials and a discord server: Discord: / discord #sovietunion #tanks #warthunder
They only gave it 200mm sides? lmao, if they were already being completely insanely unrealistic, they may as well have given it insane armor values as well- like 400mm sides, 600mm front, 300mm rear, 200mm top, 200mm bottom.
It make sense, but even with that 200mm armor, ratte would weight goddamn 1000 tons and barely even move somewhere, on a flat dense terrain after rain on friday lol. So they just can't put gigamillion tons of steel, it weights too much
out of curiosity can you do that 800mm schwerer gustav HE shell vs like the world trade center, or similar skyscraper? if you cant because simulating solid objects is easier thats alright
Can you test against armor made from nuclear pasta (stuff inside neutron stars, supposedly 10 billion times stronger than steel and density 10^14g / cm^3)
While it's not full penetration you forgot to add the HE explosion from the shell and surely that explosive force will kick out those shrapnel at high velocity, anyway you gotta steal some NASA computer for future simulations LOL.
On a plus side-note, since its crewed like a battleship- likewise when a battleship is hit, only a small % of the crew actually dies so it can keep fighting!
