The problem with tohya is he doesn’t keep calm in a fight. After his preferred formation was crushed he panicked and threw his whole hand out. In order to win one must be able to adapt and go with the flow of a cardfight. By thinking this way you’ll be able to make multiple win conditions for yourself if your first plans don’t go your way.

On one hand, the vanguard series seems to be focused on the social more than the card game. On the other hand, they are seriously doing a good job at it. Danji interests me a lot not due to the kind of repetitive "He's the MAN!" thing I keep seeing comments on but because he seems to have a very strong ability to focus and hone in on what other people are going through and thinking about... at least when it counts. Him giving Touya the leadership role, his note about how he can't keep going lest he turn into ash, and the tone of the official passing of the card to Yu-yu... I wonder if this is like Gaim...

What a manly season finale for a series who started in a cute way and what a gentle of Danji for forgive tonya and even give him a purpose when he doesnt have one. Danji really has been the symbol of peace here, everything was fine because he was here and i gonna miss him.

I am thoroughly enjoying where the different character arcs are going especially Tohya's. The man who became addicted to the fire from fighting Yuyu only to be turned to ash after fighting so much with Danji. To continue his arc as the next leader of Blackout and rise with the help of Yuyu like a phoenix. Yuyu is the true essence of vanguard, a game where you can fight with all your passion no matter your size and show the true strength of your soul and still have fun. Danji saw this when he fought Yuyu and its something Tohya will need to learn in his continuing arc instead of being so focused on the fire itself. The show is really starting to find its footing now and I'm really looking forward to what comes next.

It’s really sad to think about the implied subtlety in this episode. Danji, like Tohya needs to move onto being an adult. Sadly you can’t play the game forever, or you’ll burn to ash I suppose.

Well my overall thoughts about this series is that at First I didn't like how cardfights are not as engaging but as time goes on I began to understand it more that this series is more character focused and I really enjoy series where characters develop to become their greater selves. The episode on the other hand I did not expect the outcome to become like this Tohya becoming the leader and all, I like that Danji punched some sense into Tohya and one last awesome animationto end it all. So I'm pretty sure next season Danji will join that team and we'll get an introduction to that team and their motives, Tohya will have a redemption arc, and everyone else will get stronger

Im going to assume danji gonna work for the future enemy And yuyu and others gonna have to get better to beat future threats and potentially danji himself

When card fighting isn't enough, you brawl! Naked..... Also Tohya being the new leader, surely no one would accept him even the kind hearted Yuyu. he has to redeem himself somehow.

Can’t wait for season 2. So glad that there’s finally a climax. Most of the season was pretty fun, Im just glad that it's taking a turn away from the usual happy tone.

Something cool I noticed looking back at the first few episodes is the way they animate bastion. In the first few appearances hIs body is half luminous but once Tohya goes through his character change it becomes fully colored. Now it could be cool symbolism representing that Tohya was only fighting at half power but alternatively it could also mean he's fully fallen mentally as well. From having a glow and a brighter path to being fully dulled out. It could be nothing but I thought this was an interesting touch to an overall symbolic story

Bueno, esto no me lo esperaba. Supongo todos imaginábamos Danji ganaría, imagino el resto también salvo el ultimo que habrá sido empate. No sé si pueda decir me gustó el encuentro ya que animaron las unidades y contrario a la mayoría esa parte no me interesa. Danji se va dejando mas dudas que respuestas sobre su pasado, Tohya ahora es el líder de un grupo que le dará problemas porque no confiaran en él, o al menos al principio. Yuyu se le nota un poco más resuelto que al inicio, y creí él seria nombrado el siguiente líder de los Blackout pero ya ven lo que pasó. Me preguntó si Masanori se aprovechó de Tohya, creí eran amigos. Cómo anteriormente comenté, vine por CLAMP pero me quedé por Yuyu y Danji, es mi primer acercamiento a CFV y lo he disfrutado, estaré esperando la siguiente temporada que espero nos muestre por fin el pasado de nuestro aniki favorito que algo me dice la chica con la que se reunió anteriormente tendrá algún papel. Me gusta la relación entre Danji y Yuyu, tipo hermanos/mentor-alumno, no quisiera este episodio marcase el final de esta. Y QUERÍA VER MÁS YUYU EN VESTIDO!!!! He leído quejas de que esta serie no esta a la altura de las anteriores por la pocas animaciones de peleas de las unidades, creo los que planearon la serie se arriesgaron en darle más importancia a los personajes e interacciones entre ellos, si bien, puede que esto desanimo a muchos, atrajo a otros tantos (como yo). You know what. After watching the opening and ending a bunch of times, along with the ending of season 1, I really hope Megumi is the/a second protagonist. Like those two are connected somehow in each other's lives/stories before they were teenagers. That and I want more Great Nature support! Really hoping they bring back old formats such as tag team and relay fights. Even special rules formats. Or new formats to play around with.
