I'm from a country where this isn't necessary and buying that would probably put you on a watchlist of some sorts but I can still say that's impressive as hell. It's so thin, doesn't even look like a bullet resistant piece of armour. Probably wouldn't stop supersonic munitions and especially larger caliber but they definitely have something that could be the start to another chapter for armours.

Wouldn't matter, if you get hit with a 50 bmg, no matter what you are wearing, you'll be dead from the shock wave of 54,000 psi.

@@denniskarnes8680 there are multiple documented cases of people WITHOUT armor surviving a shot from a 50bmg.. Those are just the cases you can find with an easy Google search, but there's probably several other documented cases in military/hospital records too.

about 15 years ago I took a .45 to my Level III vest without plates it hit a few inches below my right nipple which cracked a rib and made me collapse from the impact upon reaching the ER I found out I not only had a cracked rib but also had an area of my liver that had a small bleed from a tissue tear. Deformation is absolutely something to consider when buying a vest because one 230gr .45 round to that spot put me out of the fight and was exceptionally painful. I cannot imagine multiple rounds especially rifle rounds being survivable unless you're rocking some heavy plates.

I mean gun survival rate is 85-95%. So that combined with armor. Also people naturally aim center mass and it’s concealable so they wouldn’t even know your wearing it. Getting shot in the head is an outlier due too it being extremely rare.

I love armor technology is improving. More thinner, mor durable but I still think also need that super stiff back layer material to lessen the ouchy part of catching the bullet.

That’s the thing though: despite being that thin, it passed the NIJ backface deformation requirements in testing by an independent lab. The fact that it doesn’t envelop the bullet like Kevlar does and remains largely flat means it is able to spread out the energy over a larger area. I think you would experience less bruising with this than a thicker Kevlar vest.

I really want to see the ultra thin version of the construct by bullet proof everyone tested! I mean it’s affordable, and looks lowkey. But it’s new so haven’t seen any videos on it. Was thinking of getting the black version to hide shadows from the vest as well

wonder what makes this vest so different, would be a great underarmour layer offering more coverage than just the torso for people serving. Soon we might have a truly soft armor that can stop 7.62 and similar is what it's beginning to look like.
