I've had Subarus before, and honestly getting a Subaru stuck in the snow is impressive, like it's actually hard to get one fully stuck. You pretty much have to be trying to get stuck lol.
The driver is really dumb First, shut control second keep the wheel straight. Which he didn’t do and then back up before you go forward brake and hit the gas at the same time and then release the brake where you have for motion to get out of that ditch lunching it straight out. Worst every time.😁
Frustrating to see the driver cut power when he could have gotten out. The number of times I got out of a bad situation just by lowering air pressures and gave it a bootfull...
@@DiscoverXanaduDo not turn the wheels. The X-mode system then works more efficiently. The wheels should stand straight. The forward and backward movements were correct 👌
It does have X-Mode, it is installed on all Outback trims. But this thing does not need one, all what you really need is a set of good winter tires and enough experience to drive in snow. I have 22 Legacy GT, it does not have X-Mode, but I do have Michelin winter tires and I never had a problem getting out of snow even deeper than on this video
Domt look like anybody can drive it. Nobody onced even tried the rocker method qhich jas never let me down. I even got a iroc z out of ice begore using it
This was more of a driver skill issue than a transmission issue. Only thing that would be better than it having a CVT would it having a manual where you could rock the car using the clutch to get out
The tires actually look pretty darn good, I think it was just an inexperienced driver…..also most people tend to forget that in Subarus it’s always better to keep the front wheels straight as you rock it forward and backwards because it would give the awd system more time to figure things out on which wheels is best to send the power to in order to get them to bite and carry you out….unlike regular 4wd vehicles/trucks that do benefit from turning the front wheels left to right as you rock it back and forth to get unstuck, but on a Subaru it just confuses the awd system and makes it cut too much power from the front wheels…..I mean you could still try it to see if it works for you like it did on this video but I would say first try to get yourself unstuck with the front wheels straight.
