This is simply fix for 2002 to 2007 Subaru WRX, Forester with No taillight problems.
My car parking switch not working anymore, so I bypass the switch by jumped 2 color wires together.
Now, the taillights are working again when the car headlights turn on.
Use as your own risk! 🛑
Recommended replacing a new parking switch.

Thanks this helped. I had a park switch that was broken due to a Break in of my car.

What is the name of the item? Every time I look it up, the break light switch come up but it's a different part in a different location, so I'm not sure how I can get a replacement. I'm not sure if it's because my car is an old model. I have a 1999 subaru Forester.

I tried jumping those two wires today, but there are still no park lights. I checked the fuses, and all the fuses look good, specifically fuse #14 and #16 in the interior fuse box, What else could it be? I must add they are jdm headlights

I noticed there was not parking brake switch on the top steering column. Did the taillights work with the brake pedal pressed? I’m having a similar problem right now and was just trying find the culprit with out tearing shit apart, I know a multimeter or probe light is my best friend when it comes to electrical issues 😅

Yes, there is parking brake switch at 0:01 the red color, every impreza this generation has it. Tail lights work great when you pressed brake pedal.
