So sad that this engineering brilliance is limited to 209 units... Regardless of $64,000 or not, this will not be enjoyable by the masses unfortunately.
I’ll try to buy a shirt in a week or two. Been grabbing shirts and throwing patreon’s around on banned channels and then corona hit. Gotta stockpile beans and toiletpaper but then I’ll help ya
I had a opportunity to drive a S208 in Japan and it apsolutely blew my mind, obviously it's different but compared to my GDB STI, it was something else and it felt like the body weight was like 900kg
Although the S208 only (!) has 329 hp, it's the total balanced package with suspension, chassis, body mods, wheels and tyres that give it such a great ride. Too bad the roads and highways here in Japan have such low speed limits, but there are some great winding mountain roads where you can really use its performance.
@@millll111lllI Not true. Both M4 and ATS-V are quicker. www.cars.com/articles/which-is-faster-bmw-m4-cadillac-ats-v-or-lexus-rc-f-1420680695167/ www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a30361094/2019-subaru-sti-s209-by-the-numbers/
@@EK-rr2md They're both significantly slower. /watch?v=7A9lzBh0dCw and skip to about 10:50. The S209 put down lap times between 1.2 and 3 seconds faster than the ATS-V, and the M4 was another ~1 second slower than the ATS-V. www.caranddriver.com/features/a23319884/lightning-lap-times-historical-data/
@@millll111lllI On a straight road, quarter mile or highway an M4 or ATS V will destroy an S209. On a track with turns or a curvy road maybe the S209 will have a chance. I'm not being bias either I have an 2017 STI myself.
A base model mk7 gti with stage 1 tune will gap it in a straight line and be within a couple grand of mods running better lap times. It’s a great car but for the love of god Subaru come on.
I swear I hate when people talk about fxxking "boy racer". Boys don't race cars. If the wing on regular sti wasn't a lot already I don't see the point of mentioning this one smh. 😒🙄
