New Day, New Mod. Today we install the V2 SUBISPEED USDM F1 STYLE REAR FOG LIGHT. The V2 version comes with a switch that you can turn off the 3sec flash and have a normal brake light. COME JOIN US INSTALLING THIS ON MY WRX.

Well done video, the one on subispeed had the wiring going to the drivers side, the plastic plug that I routed the wires through above the spare tire well was on the passengers side like your looks like it does, I got a little confused about which plug to unplug to install the plug and play harness, for video cleared it up, thanks. Mine is the V2 and all the wires were simple, yellow to yellow, red to red and black to black. It also came with the switch that allows you to turn off the flashing and make it act just like another brake light. You did the community a service by taking the time to make this video, thanks.

I just installed mine June 12th, 2021 on my 2020 WRX premium in white. I got the smoke lens and it looks low profile while it blends with the black bumper.

Don’t know if you still reply to comments but I recently just bought and received the fog light. What exactly do you do to the wires are you cutting them?

yup, I still reply to the comments. I'm not cutting the wires, I'm just connecting the plugs to each of the wires.

How did you get the plastic clips back in from the black plastic piece I've got mine all in but I can't get those pieces back in

I bought a cheap one off eBay and when I have everything plugged in, it gives me the TPMS fault error after 10 minutes of driving with my lights on. I unplugged it so it only flashes + brakes when I hit the brakes.

Stranger things have happened but isn't TPMS sensors individually battery operated and the receiver built into the ECM? Those batteries are good for 7-10 yrs...if your vehicle is in that range, you may need new batteries. I could be wrong but sounds like a coincidence to me.

Hey I have a 2020 STI the solid mode works great but when I put in the flashing mode it burns my “STOP” fuse first try. Any ideas?

hi my light has Black.Red.Green wires .I can't get it to even turn on bro.Can you explain exactly what wires i need to tap into thanks so much

AznPitbull 23 did you get your light from subispeed? I didn’t have to tap into any wires, it’s all plug and play with the subispeed harness.

Modit no im in australia and got from a local supplier .no plug and play kit available .So i tapped the Black to solid black,Red to Black with white stripe and Green to Solid brown..Its at least on now but it only works as a brake light no F1 flash at all :( i followed the same instructions as the subie speed one and what a lot of others did so idk why it's not working .Does yours stay lit ?

AznPitbull 23 there is a lot of different f1 style light from different manufacturers. Some have the flashing light, some just stayed solid, some only lights up when you press the brake and some have the dual intensity light like mine where it stay lite and becomes brighter when you press the brake. From your description above it looks like yours is a solid light and only comes up when you press the brake. When you bought it does it say that it has the blinking light option?

Simply Tofu yes i chose it because it had the dual intensity F1 function .Apparentyl i have to change around the wire colours .Its so confusing so many lights and they have all different wiring combinations when basically there all the same really

Hey, at 9:12 in the video you know how you're connecting into the passenger side of the trunk? I did it on my driver's side of the trunk, did I do it right or does it matter what side you plug in the wires into? Because I'm watching a lot of people plugging into the left side taillight harness thing and some vids in the right?

It doesn't matter which side you plug it in. I just find it easier for me to plug it on the passenger side.
