WOW... I just ran across this and it worked like a champ. I have the Epson EcoTank ET-2803 that I converted to Sublimation. I have been struggling trying to get a "Decent" print. Thanks to you I know have an output that I am satisfied with... Thanks again...

I watched this video on Easter Sunday 2024. I am so excited that you are a christian. I am too! I want to sublimate for tshirts, towels, bags and things. I bought a used printer ecotank and needed the way to use software on it. I did not get a book to go with it so I am searching. Thank you so much!

I save the images on my phone and use the Epson app and send to the printer from my phone. It doesn’t really let me change the settings though. It is on premium presentation matte and standard (there’s no option to change it to high)
How come you didn't change the brightness, contrast, saturation & density here? I keep seeing everyone say 9, 7, 15 & 4... I'm just trying to learn. Thanks!!
Hi Stephanie! That’s a great question! As I was learning myself and trying different settings, I found that not changing any of those numbers gave me the best quality, and best ink colors. A lot of people think you have change all that to get the best color, but depending on your printer and computer, you def do not have to change those! These settings have fixed all my color issues. I had blacks that were green and blues that were purple and colors were not vibrant , but using the settings I have in the video made all the difference for me! Def try it out- try these settings and print / press and come back to let me know how it worked for you! Sometimes simpler truly is better! It’s a big learning game with sublimation!
Hi- thanks for watching- these settings are for color or black prints- it enhances the vibrancy for both! The design used for the video just happened to be what I was working on at that time. But it can be applied to any image for sublimation printing, to help increase more vibrant and brighter results, no matter the colors being printed! Hope that helps! God bless!
Hi Jackie! It seems you probably don’t have your printer driver installed! Just go to Google and and type in “printer driver… (with your printer)” and you should find the download for it! Once you have that, you should be able to have the print preferences similar to what I am showing!
I have an Epson Ecotank and my screen looks nothing like yours! I keep getting way to much orange/red in my sublimationand it’s throwing everything off…any suggestions
Love the video! One question...will cold temps inactivate sublimaiton ink? I have yet to have a print transfer to the media. We've tried everything else, it has to be the ink?🤔
Hi! I would reach out to the ink manufacturer you purchased from. How cold is the ink- if inside/ room temp, I don’t see it being an issue? Is your printer being kept outdoors?
Oh I hate to hear that! I know it helps faded colors and colors that aren’t correct (like reds that turn out pink, etc) I haven’t had an use of colors to dark so I’m not sure. just came across will be trying immediately. i have been at work trying to get a good image printed but everything comes out dull and over saturated if that makes any sense.
Hi Shernita- have you pressed it yet or just looking at what the color on the paper looks like? Pressing (adding heat) gives you the actual color it will be. I also have my DPI set to 1200, which basically increases the resolution! I’ll try to add another video soon on this!
Hi! Have you installed your printer driver yet? Or are you on a Mac? If you’re on a Mac, I don’t think the preferences will look the same! I’m so sorry!
Hi! For me, not changing those has worked amazing. Just using these settings from the video for print preferences made all my colors correct and gave a lot of vibrancy. Before I used these settings, my blacks were coming out green and my reds were pink or orange and my blues were more purple. And I had dull images. I also suggest setting your DPI to 600-1200, which is not in the video. That’s your dots per inch. The more dpi your design has, the more detail you see when it’s printed. I noticed better saturated images and better transfer of heat when I’m using material less than 100% poly. I encourage experimenting with settings for what works best for you! Try the ones from my visor and save them as a print preference. Try a sample print and press. If it didn’t work well for your computer, def go in there and add a new print preference and make some other changes! :) I hope this has been helpful.
I got a Colorsun Epson L1800 A3 DTG Printer and I've been trying to stop the printer from skipping and making blank sections out of the image, would this be the settings to go by?

on changing the printer preference settings to slow print, when you remove the document fast, document high quality and add your new setting does that make the printer print your sublimation design slower?
I use the same settings for photos when subbing! If your issues are too yellow or orange, you could play around with the the saturation and save a new setting just for photos! Thanks so much for watching?
Hi Laura! As fas as I know I’m not using an ICC profile- I just downloaded the printer driver so it linked to my computer and them just changed these settings when I print in my print preferences when it pop open after I hit print in SS!
You will need to download your printer driver! Just Google the name of your printer and then driver after it, and then find a link you can download it from!
@@krdesigncoteesandmore7766 i installed a new driver once and it gave me an update that made my cartridges unrecognizable i had to uninstall my firmware and reinstall it with the first version this was with an epson wf 7720

Not at all! I had them changed in the beginning and my colors were all messed up. Reds printing orange , no vibrancy. Once I changed it to these settings, my colors have been perfect, vibrant, and minimal to no fading on 50/50 material! I also set DPI to 1200.
Hmmmm . What type of paper do you use? Also, what is your DPI set to? I use 1200 DPI with these settings and haven’t had any issues with smears or little dots!
I print from Silhouette and change it under Edit tab and preferences I think it is! Maybe try a new paper- I use Asub 120 weight. What weight is your paper, that’s important too!
It made a huge difference for me. When I was playing around with my settings, that’s the first thing I did and noticed improvements! You def can leave that unchecked if the other settings are helpful. Everything it just a suggestion/ what worked for me! :)
