Some questions customers are asking if the drivers they have don't have all the options we are showing what do i do ? , this normally means you do not have the full epson drivers installed and your windows or mac pc has installed standard drivers - in this scenario uninstall the printer goto the epson website and get the full version of the drivers
Ive spent around 30 hours now setting up and testing my converted epson l3110 printer and I have come to the conclusion that setting the paper type to Epson Matte gives the best quality. plain paper gave me very faded images. also noting I am sublimating onto 2mm thick thermo plastic. also setting printer to quiet mode has helped my printer to not destroy paper as it has a very aggressive manner in which it grabs paper from the tray. quiet mode has solved that issue
Very helpful tip. The moment I put my settings on high quality the horizontal print lines disappeared with my Epson WF-7110 printer. Unfortunately I threw away 6-7 t-shirt transfers before finally running across your video. I had removed & clean the printhead, ran a number of nozzel cleans & alignments & nothing seemed to get rid of the print lines until your video. I always used the plain paper settings but never changed it from standard to high quality. One minor change in settings always makes the difference, thanks.
Can you help me my sublimation Espon 7110 has this problem kinda but my pictures print faded out and black doesn’t show at all for some reason I don’t know why I just turnt it into a sublimation printer a week ago

This is what I Google'd on printers that are good with sublimation ink - Epson printers that can be converted for sublimation printing? Epson Stylus Pro 3800, 3880, 4000, 4800, 4880, 4900, 7600, 7700, 7800, 7880, 7890, 7900, 9600, 9700, 9800, 9880, 9890, 9900, 10000, 10600. Epson SureColor T3170x. Epson SureColor T3000, T3270, T5000, T5270, T7000, T7270. This doesn't mean strictly to these models because it's a fact that if when U initially got your Epson & immediately began using sublimation inks then your printer would be able to continue to do so. If that's not the case & U converted it to perform with sublimation inks, a thorough printhead cleaning may solve your issue. If U feel uneasy about removing the printhead, place a folded paper towel the long way up under the printhead, remove your ink cartridges to flush the nozzles. I have EPSON L120 for sublimation, my problem is when i finished heat-pressing it, the printed image looks darker than what I've edited on the PC. I hope you can help. TY
How do I correct colors on an Epson 2720? My red will not print red , it comes out orangy-rust at best and my pinks are off as well. I've tried turning on/off the printer settings but I'm new to this so I have no idea what to do now
@@ayshaashford2524 I think you'll need a color profile for the type of ink you're using. I'm having same issue and installing the color profile for Printers Jack ink because that's what I use. There is a site I checked that showed the results of printing without the color profiles for specific ink and looks like our issue.
I am going crazy! How the heck do you have so many options for paper type? I have TWO. Just plain and photo glossy. I have so much other paper types I am using and it's beyond frustrating. I don't see any support anywhere on the Epson website for this nor do I know what to do or install or add or delete or what.
Hello, I really liked your video, but I need some help. I have an epson et-2720 converted for sublimation. I use A-Sub 125 paper and A-Sub sublimation ink. My printer wants to print dark orangey tones all the time. Its hard to get a bright image even when setting the brightness high in custom. I looked for an appropriate ICC profile at A-Subs website, even emailing asking for one specific to my printer, but the only offer one ICC profile to cover all epson printers. I feel I still dont have the right one yet. And my problem with the coloring still hasnt gone away after installing it. What can I do? What am i doing wrong? I use Cricut Design Space as well. I do not have Photo Shop. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have just bought an Epson ET 2856 printer to convert to sublimation. I bought the sublimation inks from A-Sub and their paper. I clicked on the link on their website but their ICC profile link doesnt work. Ive emailed them but nothing so far. So question is can i just alter my printer settings without their ICC profile. Also when all the ink has gone can i use another brand safely. Im fully aware about not mixing brands of sublimation ink. Thank you

Sir, I have Epson T60 printer. I am thinking of using CISS. I want to print on papers using standard dye ink. And occasionally use sublimation ink for cloth printing. Should I buy a CISS system and also buy replaceable sublimation ink cartridge and change them as needed Is it advisable to keep changing cartridge for different usage? Does T60 supports sublimation ink? Can sublimation ink be used inside CISS system? Does your company provide the sublimation ink and cartridge for shipment?
Hi Sanjay, I'm afraid we don't sell any products for the T60, but there should be no problem using sublimation ink in this model.We don't recommend switching between ink types repeatedly, as you will need to run some head cleans every time you change ink type, and this will limit the life of the printer. In the long run, it would be cheaper to buy two printers, one for sublimation, and one for standard dye ink.You can use sublimation ink with a CISS, although we don't have any CISS or cartridges for your printer.Hope this helps, let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
cityinkexpress Thanks for the information. I think I should buy another printer for sublimation printing. What would be the best affordable printer you suggest for sublimation printing? Do I have to use printers atleast once every month to keep them working in CISS? As I do not print often. Will dye ink work both on paper and clothes? For a short time without washing?
For A4 sublimation printing, the cheapest would be the Epson WF-2010w. For A3, the cheapest is the Epson WF-7110DTW.We do recommend printing regularly with a CISS, if you're using sublimation ink we recommend printing at least one full colour image each week.Normal dye ink will not work with sublimation paper - you could use normal dye ink with t-shirt transfer papers, but it will fade after 1-2 washes.

Hi I use your icc city express. But my red always print orange..I thought I was too hot and not printing properly. But it happens all the time. My red is just orange how do I overcome this. I’ve a Epson 2710 and have your icc profile. My black looks more brown too. It’s not vibrant .
My menu does not look at all like that. First, it does not open to dialog boxes, but directly to the devices. Then, there is no grayscale, which I believe is my problem. I'm trying to print a simple document, no images, just words. The contents are dark, but the background is even darker. What can I do?

Thank you for your comment, Louise. We don't recommend using the same printer and switching inks repeatedly, as you will need to run some head cleans to get rid of the old ink from the heads - doing this a lot will end up limiting the life of the printer, and will probably be more expensive overall. Switching once or twice over the lifetime of the printer won't cause any issues, though.

I have a problem. My Epson surecolor sc-p600 print no Black. When I print Black text it will be blue/Grey. I have done a nozzle clean + print head clean. The cardridges are full. I used no profiles and software is up to date. I tested this also on my laptop with the same result. What can i do more?

Hello, I am printing a coloured image but when I put in the mug press , the colours dont appear. Instead i get a black and white image on the mug as a result. How can this be solved?

Interesting that you choose other settings than sublisplash for the Epson, they choose Epson premium semi gloss as a paper and standard quality and "smooth edges".
@@cityinkexpress-online right, ive heard that many times in youtube videos but the pdf tutorial from sublisplash advice you that. Isnt it possible that the sublisplash ICC profile produces a thinner layer of ink or is the ICC profile only needed for the correct color tone? Ive heard in some videos that the ICC profile can also decide the amount of ink used. Maybe the sublisplash paper is designed for that amount of ink?
@@danbarb9728 A profile cannot alter the amount of ink discharged by the printer it is only for colour management, sublisplash use that setting as it best matches there own brand paper and inks and does not mean you could necessarily use those settings for other models and paper,
@@sunnybeach8764 normal. Right now I'm stuck because my ciss went bad. But the 0 problems with the printer, is my ciss chip who is bad. But it's one of the best printers for me. All-in-one and good quality
I have Epson 7110 hopefully you can help i purchased dye sublimation ink wit a ciss system. One person says I can do mugs and mouse pads some say no I can't do it with that please help and I will be contacting u for the profile as soon as I know if i have the right ink
Yes, you can use the WF-7110 for sublimation printing. You will also need sublimation paper and a heat press, in order to transfer the images onto your mugs and mouse pads. Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with.
cityinkexpress hi I purchased ink from another company prior to reaching out to u. Once this ink is gone how do I flush it out to use the ink you use. These ppl I bought from aren't much help. I use 7110 Epson
The WF-7110 doesn't have long internal ink lines, the cartridges fit straight into the print head. Because of this, there's no need for extended flushing in order to get rid of old ink. Simply fit the new ink, run 2-3 head cleans to clear the heads, and you're good to go.
I saw in a lot of sublimation videos that they're recommend Epson Matte in Paper Type, but you recommend plain paper. Can we really don't use Paper Matte?
Did you ever find out the answer? Cuz I was using paper Matte and it wasn’t coming the best but now I use Presentation Matte and it’s coming better than Paper Matte. But does it come out better with just Plain Paper?
I've not found it to make any real difference to the output in most cases. Sometimes, though, it can be useful to turn off the "high speed" option - usually if you have very thin lines horizontally across the page where the print head is moving too fast and not applying the ink properly.
If I got an Epson printer (Expression Premium ET‑7700) which has continues ink ... so I only need to add sublimation ink and change the settings like you just did in the video? then I can print on sublimation paper? do I have to get ICC profile or is it optional? FYI... I have a Mac! please help.... and thanks for the videos
In theory yes. However you would need to ensure you did not have any old ink left in the printer if it had been used before. Also we would strongly recommend that you get the relevant ICC profile created for your printer model to ensure to the colours are accurate.
ICC profiles are specific to the ink and paper you are using but we could create a custom ICC profile for you, they are available to order from our website here - www.cityinkexpress.co.uk/icc-ink-profilesUnfortunately there is no white ink available in sublimation printing so you would struggle to print some designs on dark t-shirts I'm afraid.
@@cityinkexpress-online how can I make the white background not appear even when I am printing on white t shirts as you can see the square outline and two different white colour. Also how do I just print words or images on dark clothes without background
Thank you for your question. An 11oz mug works well with a 24 x 10cm design - this should give a full wrap handle-to-handle, but I'd recommend leaving a bit of space at the sides, as well as the top and bottom (some mug presses can't apply even pressure near the handle, and the edges of the mug).
