Great video and those colors are just beautiful! I was using a convection oven and still will but just recently got a tumbler press. I can't believe how fast you can knock out tumblers. Tracey
Thanks so much for this! Had been on the fence about getting one. Have a convection oven but the heat in it fluctuates so much it is not easy to use. This cuts the time down significantly too! I had started using my Cricut Mug Press but by the time you rotate and flip, you’re into 1 tumbler a good 10 minutes. Couldn’t get your code to work but it had a $70 coupon. Will have it in 2 days 😄
I think a kid messed up my settings. Would you be able to look at all of the menu settings (Press and hold SET) for the default values? I can't find anything online explaining what these settings do!
Good evening, I have a question. I have one of the same ones and when I leave the set pressed, I get SC. I don't know how much to put in that part. Can someone help me?
Hi. Your video was great. I have a few questions and I hope you will be able to answer. I sublimate mugs, pen holders, and white stainless steel water bottles. The press I use has to be adjusted to fit around each item. It is not very easy to adjust so I want to purchase a new press. This one looks great, but I would like to know if it is easy to adjust to fit the different circumferences of the products I mentioned. Also, your colors turn out excellent. The colors on your sublimation paper are so vibrant and bright. I use TexPrint DTR Heavy Sublimation Paper. I use the Sawgrass printer. My prints come out very faded and do not look half as bright as your print looked. When I sublimate the finished product looks ok, but I always felt the colors could look more vibrant. So two questions….is this press easy to adjust the size and recommendations for more vibrant colors. Thank you so much!! Amanda
Good morning Jeff! Great information and thank you for the share :) I often wonder if the Chinese market is starting to act like the American markets in that they might be asking too much for their products and overpricing them. Here is an example that I found (I just cannot afford $400 or anything that high, even with a code, which by the way is not working ;) I have not used this product nor am I endorsing it, just a similar product that I found for almost half the price of this one, AND... you don't have to get pink! ;) Thanks Jeff, keep up the great info :)
Yea, it's a bit high at $400. I've seen them at around the $200 mark, and I feel like they're almost a must-have at that price, if tumblers are your thing. With that being said, it is a great product, but it doesn't print any better than my toaster oven when I get it perfect (Usually I mess up the first tumbler of the session getting dialed in). Pink just happens to be what they sent me.. so I rock it!
I bought this in January of this year, and it has stopped heating now I can’t figure out how to fix it, company doesn’t respond so really no warranty with them
It says no heating up without mug but you did. Can you confirm this is what they mean? I don't want to ruin the element but does it make sense to put a blank tumbler in just for preheating purposes?
My timer isn’t working . I bought it back in February and i just started using it October 😢 I have to use a timer on my phone, the machine doesn’t count down. The seller won’t help
Howdy, I bought this mug heat press because of your video. I bought it in May and because of some life crisis, I just now opened it. Is it supposed to snap shut? It doesn't seem to lock shut when I put a mug in it. I'm concerned because it doesn't count down when I close it. Help?
It doesn't actually snap shut, it just puts pressure on the item, which I why I rotate to make sure it subs evenly. You'll need to adjust the fit with the knobs in the back. Hope this helps!
I am wondering the same. I ordered this press after watching this great video and the directions say to preheat with a blank tumbler inside. I can have my wrapped tumbler ready to go after preheating I guess. Putting a sublimation wrap on a warmed up tumbler may not be the best idea. Anyone have experience to share regarding the directions that come with this press?
Where do I get the sublimation sheets you talk about. If I want to put pictures like of students. How is that template created for a class of 15 or more students?
Great video! You said you made one like that for yourself, were the colors as bright in the convection oven? Or do you think it can only be achieved with a press? I'm just starting out so I'm not sure if I want to throw that kind of money into a press until I know or not if I'm going to like doing them? TIA
I actually did mine in this exact press. My colors are as bright in the oven when it turns out right. The issue with ovens is the amount of variance, it's tough to get it "perfect". I would totally just do an oven starting out, to see if you enjoy doing them. If you end up selling them well, that's the point I would invest in a tumbler press. Just my $0.02!
I usually do about this much and then shrink wrap if I'm using it in the Toaster Oven. The tumbler press clamps down with a decent amount of pressure, so you really just gotta hold the paper in place.
A lady sent me a message telling me that she would like me to get one for free to test it and give a review..I told her I would love that..then she tells me that the company would deposit the money in my PayPal account the I could order it with the money they sent me..I told her that didn't make any sense to me..so I told her no..not interested..has anyone had a similar experience??..please advise..
