Sublime - Rock The Boat 3/24/91 [FULL SHOW + AFTER SHOW] 

lets be clear. This is my homeys 21st birthday party in Long Beach. Sublime was playing there because we asked them to. No one knew if they would ever blow up or just be a local band who we all enjoyed watching at backyard parties for years. Video cameras were new and clunky. so this is raw, unfiltered video of a bunch of stoners with long hair, ponytails, wearing levi jackets. drinking and smoking...with Sublime playing in the background. That was the LBC in '91.

I'm totally impressed with the sound quality on this.....especially for those old camcorders. What I would give to be on this boat at this time!

This is back when people weren't used to be recorded all the time, so they made weird faces & did stupid shit while all embarrassed. To the people in the video it was just another party and they have no idea how lucky they are. Thank you for this!!!

My dad is a die hard sublime fan has a book signed by papa nowell photos of him hanging out with Bradley and this on cd and dvd. Happy my parents are showing me sublime still even after 20 years

This video is amazing for so many reasons. Bradley sounds so fucking real and raw and passionate here. When he comes in at 7:49 or so, the feeling in his voice gives me chills. I feel like he was much more in his element when just playing at a birthday party in his home town than he ever was on tour. Id argue this was one of their best live shows ever. I also love seeing this random video of a 90s party, that I think Bradley would love knowing is on the internet being viewed 20 years later. It reminds me of some of my earliest memories of parties filled with stoned 16-24 year olds, getting drunk and dancing to sublime music in around 96'-97'. The girl at 12:45 reminds me of my babysitter at 3 lol

They actually do realize how good sublime is at the time of the tape. It is just a friendly birthday party and everybody there, including the band, is friends with everybody else so it would not have made sense to anybody to just record the band the whole time. One of the partygoers even played on the first tape sublime put out (credited for saxophone and "bong rips" on the back cover). I recognize a lot of old friends from high school on the tape that I have unfortunately lost contact with.

5 years from this day Bradley would leave this world to be with Jah...In the Kingdom with the rest of the greats...MUCH LOVE MUCH RESPECT TO BRAD AND THE BOYS...Rest in Eternal Peace Brother

HAHA! Everybody there had been rocking to Sublime for years before this in the LBC. This was a typical Friday night for all of us...but on a boat!! That was a first!

Thanks for this video! I wasn't alive in the 90s nor I live in America, but this video just give me some good 90s vibes. Please stop writing that this is not a Sublime video because of the people talking and being recorded. THIS is the purest early Sublime video experience. I read they started playing at backyards and small shows and this is a video of that. Thanks to this 1 hour video I can feel for at least 1 hour that I'm partying with Sublime playing in the 90s.

Crazy to think that this year of 1991 they still hadn’t made or were just about to write the songs Santeria, Smoke two Joints, Date Rape, Right Back, and so many more. The talent on that stage and people don’t even know it… sucks Bradly died right before they started to get big. This band would’ve written some amazing music in 1998-2002 years. We would have bigger hits than Santeria. Now all that music is LOST in time. Forever because of death.

from a 2020 perspective you should not still be listing this as a Sublime anything. You show virtually nothing of the band, just your friends. Croud at Sublime concert would be far more relevant.
