The amount of progress Stephen accomplished in this episode made me so proud: - Explored Aurora Completely - Contained Drive Core Breaches - Got Neptune Blueprints - Got Prawn Suit Blueprints and made one - Got Seamoth Depth Mod - Made a Moonpool - Got PC charger Blueprints and made one - Learned how to make Aerogel - Got his not-base actually somewhat organized Can't wait to see what he does next and how he deals with more of the planet's features!
It's impressive how he got to the black box and managed to go around in a circle, missing the other exit. It's a great playthrough though. Can't wait for him to finally go deeper. If you get stuck, you need to revisit the Jellyshroom Degrassi base and search inside more carefully.
One of my favorite games of all time. It was so much bigger and more storied than i anticipated! I felt sad when it was over. Can’t wait to play the sequel.
I think the frustrating thing about watching Stephen play exploration games is when he goes to look around him. Very consistently, he'll rotate the camera to look at 270° of his surroundings. 90% of the time, the 90° he misses is the 90° he needed to see.
Deep in ocean’s glow, Aurora’s flames seem distant- Fear melts with the waves. I am sharing a relevant haiku on every Stephen/Mal video until he and/or Mal play LoZ: Echoes of Wisdom at the end of the month or whenever they play it. But I'm suspecting it'll be pretty soon after release :)
It’s a bummer that Stephen didn’t open the Time Capsule he found from another player. I’m curious what the player left for him, and what picture he included. I think Stephen just scanned it but didn’t open it.
This playthrough is my first exposure to the game but I can imagine a sizeable number of players probably went to explore the Aurora much earlier than Stephen. Did they ever follow up on that radio message saying the core was going to explode in something like 2 hours and then (as far as I can tell) nothing happened?
The Aurora’s drive core did explode. You cannot get aboard the aurora before it explodes. The exact time it explodes after beginning the game is random but I believe it occurs between the start of day 3 and start day 5.
