I remember hearing. That Lootbox was purposely putting in better items for first-time users. In an effort to make it seem more valuable to consumers and help make them keep the subscription.

Back when my brother and I still lived with my mum, as part of our allowance mum would get us something relatively cheap we liked each month or so. My brother choose LootCrate, I chose for her to get me amiibo. To this day, I still feel like I won big time.

from my experience, the more specific the crate the better experience youll have. a general lootcrate would have a bunch of shit you dont care about, but with the hello kitty lootcrate i was happy with everything i got

My favorites are definitely the foreign food boxes. I love trying new things, it's usually stuff I couldn't otherwise get, and it all gets eaten and packaging thrown away. I don't have to stuff my closet with a bunch of random stuff.

Lootcrate was the best early on before they decided to do a million other crates. I joined right before they branched out too quickly and had cool themes and my favorite crate was Attack on Titanfall (I don't remember exactly what was in it, but I remember it had the first AoT manga volume).

Oddly enough, my only experience with a 'gaming subscription box' was actually a pretty good deal since I got some random new member deal where the thing was 5 bucks, and it came with a $20 game.

I cancelled my loot crate after they started to branch off with different creates. Their basic box was literally just clearance items from gamestop. I have fond memories of being excited each month for my box to arrive but towards the end it was just "let's see what crap I get this time". needless to say, I don't regret my decision.
