What do you mean? There are all kinds of resolution ideas here - maybe just not something you like. Someone here mentioned war. I HATE the idea of war - but that’s not a solution. It’s what WILL eventually happen if we can’t sit down and come together as a country. There is only ONE group that is being pushy, snarky, elitist and refuses to work with anyone and that is the Liberals aka Democrats, or BLM or ANTIFA. These people don’t want compromised solutions. It’s their way or NOTHING! And that’s the truth. They have everyone so terrified that no one will speak truth. When simply disagreeing with someone can have outcomes like losing your job or being kicked out of a school (btw - schools no longer teach people HOW to think. They teach people WHAT to think). Those are pretty harsh outcomes in a country that touts free speech. That’s always been the beauty of America. We can disagree with each other and still work together. But that’s not happening anymore. ANYONE who says something different than the liberals like defunded, deplatformed, canceled. Now pretend it’s the left getting silenced and canceled, How long would they tolerate that?
@@MalignTheTumor Thankfully we're a republic and not a democracy. That's why we have states rights and states choose who becomes president instead of popular vote. Popular vote guarantees mob rule where people in a few huge cities elect president and those running for president only care about pleasing these few cities and don't give a damn about what's going on 1000s of miles way. It's not perfect but better than alternative. US would of never existed if didnt allow states to have certain rights and protection from the largest states and cities. They were even more worried back then than we do today of becoming what everyone had left back in places like England, an all powerful king and church telling them who they could worship, etc.

Until cops decide to stop thinking blue wall, thin blue line, us against them, etc... The PEOPLE will NOT feel positive about the sorority that LAW ENFORCEMENT has decided to create WELL before these things have become problematic in the FIRST place. I heard absolutely NO accountability from ANY of those Chieftains mouths!! Until the public hear it...the people who pay taxes to help pay those police officers salaries, will not help and the crime that can become more community oriented will not happen. They WORK in these communities but the people they are supposed to serve and protect LIVE there everyday. So when those officers go on vacation or have off days...guess what? The people of those communities are still there to deal with those things but yet seem to NOT want to deal with the actual police... And the public who are making stupid comments about being heavy handed with these people dont get it... That's already been done and its lead to people who were actually innocent being killed, shot, brutalized by some of those SAME departments sitting in that interview....SMDH!!! Those burbs have been taken over by the hoods and are now considered the inner city and an extension of north Minneapolis. Anything south of 610 and east of 169 has really decayed over the last 20 years. Now uptown neighborhoods are suffering the same fate. Those burbs are never coming back.
That is not accurate. Brooklyn Center was very rough 20 years ago. During the recession 38% of homes in North, Brk Park and Brk Center were in foreclosure. There is a lot of new construction In North, NE, and Top Golf opened in Brooklyn Park. which is expected to spark gentrification. Crime was down before Covid, and raced back up this year. Police chiefs are right, Minneapolis has lost it's grip on crime for several reasons, primarily a shortage of officers.
One of these carjackers (mostly kids) is going to carjack the wrong person some day soon. Tragically, there will be 3 or 4 black kids lying dead in the street. An activity they thought had no consequence, will suddenly go very, very wrong. Maybe then the justice system will realize the need for not kicking them loose to re-offend.
Politicians and prosecutors are to blame. Stop slapping wrist and hand out real penalties. Mandatory penalties would be a start. No plea deals would help. Why the hell do you bargain with murderers?
I used to live in that area, back in the late 70's. It was fine then. What is going on now is due to liberal policies, welfare that encourages women to leave their husbands, or just get pregnant alone and know the gooberment will take care of their needs, encourages a lot of single mothers who don't either know how to raise boys (and girls too), or they just don't care enough to do what needs to be done as a responsible parent. What does protesting, defund the police, adding social workers do,, nothing, when the thugs get out of jail and get little or no jail time, and our politicians are letting it happen, people don't want to become police officers because of the fear of being charged with crimes when they haven't committed them, this is one of the reasons my son left the police department, along with other reasons.

These Minneapolis police officers need to just give it up and walk away… what is the hesitation? This should be used as a warning to anyone crazy enough to apply to be a LEO in Minneapolis. Good luck trying to hire those 180 officers the judge “ordered” you to hire… think about that… a judge had to order Minneapolis to hire 180 police by 2022…how does that work? We need communities to participate. Minnesota has a welfare policy that people can cross the state line and apply for welfare, no residency required. Why would i wanna become a cop in Minnesota go to college for two or four years then apply for a position when i can go to North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Michigan, Wisconsin and apply for an entry level position pass all the screening an back ground checks an get a job offer then attend a police academy
The inmates have taken over the asylum. I strongly encourage all eligible Minnesotans to apply for a permit to purchase, and if you are comfortable a permit to carry. Police, defunded, understaffed, and overwhelmed, can not get to you fast enough.
You don’t need a permit to purchase in. Minnesota. You can buy a gun and legally put it in your car to take home or to the shooting range. To carry, you need the permit.

A permit to carry qualifies as a permit to purchase, but you can also get a permit to purchase independent of that if you don't want to carry. The permit to carry is distributed by the state. The permit to purchase comes from your local sheriff. In my case, I had to register for carry class several months in advance, but I didn't want to wait that long to defend my home so I also applied for a permit to purchase which arrived in about a week. That way I could purchase a gun without needing to wait for the class.
