What? Don't be ignorant. We don't need to stop building. We need to build structures with the adequate mechanisms to withstand the movement that occurs in the area.
@@raziele92 it's not ignorant is basic sense. We're pulling materials and minerals and packing more and more weight on the surface. More population increases water usage. Less soil that's a natural sponge for rain is taken away that will eventually lead to flooding just like in several areas in the houston area.
You are being hoodwinked by this reporter! What I have done for my clients in North Houston for foundation moving, cracking, subsidence. I install a $100 digital water timer to outsie fawcette. I install and connect black soaker hoses, to around edge of entire house foundation. Set timer to soak for 20 min. three times a day, equally spaced every five hours, starting at 6am. This must operate for entire year. Each year you will see improvement, and less moving of foundation! If there is a large tree near, right next to your foundation, you have to remove tree. This is one of the issues, in absorbing the water from under the foundation!
