That's Clear Lake right now. Some get 30 lbs. Some get 2 or 3 fish.

Went up Sunday grinded an underspin all day ended up with only 2. A lot of bites but they were just swiping at the tail.

Just went to clear lake a year ago or so and there was advisory saying no swimming or getting in the water, I think due to an algae bloom? Your video must mean the lake has recovered? Any news on that?

Yup, it happens almost every year with high temps and lots of nutrients in the water. Lasts until the fall and disappears.

@@BeardedBassinthanks for that info, I’m new to the area just move a year ago… heard great things about bass fishing in NorCal.Oroville , Folsom berryessa and Clearlake, spent five days camping Clearlake last year and didn’t get to fish due to timing /(late August if I recall) and the bloom, looked like the water was super low, the die off and bloom like you said made worried I wouldn’t get the chance, if you don’t mind me asking after the bloom and die off, about when does the lake start opening conditions up for fishing? Winter/spring?

@codyrunge8190 some of the best summer fishing occurs during the bloom just don’t jump in the water or eat anything from the lake. The lake never closes, during low water there are only a few ramps open due to location and in high water senarios there is a mandatory 5mph 250ft from the bank. But other than that you can fish it anytime.
