This is one of the funniest scenes in the show for me. Jeremy Strong's delivery of "little lord fuckleroy" is so fucking funny to me, Roman's knee slap just kills me every time, and then to top it all of at the end of the scene we get hit with little lord fuckleroy again. Fucking incredible.
I think she has as much affection for him as any of these people are capable of. She still puts herself first, but I think she does have some sensitive feelings for him and is realizing she shouldn't have let things go as far as they did.
When Logan had that UTI and they needed him to talk to the president Gerri said that Roman was bootleg Logan, the closest thing they had to Logan at that particular moment. I think Gerri might be attracted to Logan in some way and sort of settling for "Bootleg Logan"
@@AcMrPro maybe when they were younger, but Logan as we know him now has been so shitty to Gerri. so bitter and petty. any attraction she had for him would be long gone. but Roman *is* like his dad in a lot of ways, while still being somewhat decent. so maybe that's part of what draws her to him
Love love love how Roman yells “who?” with so much outrage. Also he assumed that Gerri’s date is “old” like THE only reason Gerri isn’t jumping him 24/7 is an age issue. Like if he were only a little older she would have moved all of her stuff into his apartment by now and the very real concerns Gerri has about a romantic relationship with him don’t exist or are just excuses. Just another example of the Roy delusional streak. ETA also needed to add they Gerri talking for like two minutes before finally getting around to Logan almost dying is a hilarious example of how much she secretly hates him
Ikr? Like he's personally offended Laurie is allowed to exist as a human being on planet Earth. Such an over the top reaction and it's glorious. HOWEVER! It's weird that Gerri assumes Roman would know who "Laurie" is just by hearing his first name. Like he's super famous and people should just know who Laurie is. Like Beyoncé or Prince or something.
The worm visual on the TV behind Roman at 1:04 feels like a subtle reference to Gerri calling Roman a "revolting little worm" during one of their "talks." Amazing little nod.
I think their scenes this episode, while brief, were the only parts where I could actually breathe. The rest of this episode was like on extended panic attack after the other.
@@socrappyicoulddie same. and roman and shiv. i just don't get why he had his shoes and socks off at the beginning, does he have a foot kink? i mean i'm not shaming it.
Roman respects Gerri. He's open to working under and learning from Gerri, listens to her advice, and respects her boundaries. This might be the healthiest relationship we've seen on the show! With Gerri's influence, we're seeing Roman mature from episode to episode.
They’re kinda cute together. He’s another oedipus guy, she’s a savvy climber no longer young, it makes sense. I’m curious about gerris story it almost seems like she could be a not completely wretched person..
... Roman coming through with the Montgomery Clift pull like it's nothing, huh. (For those playing along at home: that's not just a 1950s matinee idol joke, that's... an extremely depressive gay-leaning-bisexual 1950s matinee idol who was mixed up in at least one extremely questionable relationship with a very fascinating and dangerous woman who happened to be QUITE a bit older than he was.)
@@sait_koca Thanks for your comment it made me rewatch this clip. I stand by what I wrote. An older woman who maintains her attractiveness becomes more attractive as she gets older. Of course she still has to maintain her attractiveness. Which this actress does magnificently. She's hot in a way unlike almost anyone else. She's a super fox.
Gerri was right when she said Roman's flirting would kill them, he just couldn't keep it in his pants. To be fair to Roman though, Gerri was the queen of mixed messages, and kept changing the boundaries. No wonder Roman was shocked she had a date, and they were all business again.
Did anyone else think she made the date up in the hope that it will make Roman leave her alone? In this scene It kinda seems that felt things had gone a bit too far with him and she wanted to draw a clearer line. P.S. just noticed that she mentions 'tatoo situation' in season 2 when talking to Roman
I think that photo of tattoo man will come back in season 4. Ken going behind Roman's back about the PR response to Logan's passing will cause a rift. It will be Ken vs. Roman in the end. I think Roman will eventually get burned due to his semi-perverted tendencies.
0:20 the brief pause to think of a dumb analogy makes Kendall's obligatory "fucken" that he uses as an adjective for everything just that little bit goofier than it always is
it’s the little things that make this show yk, like how roman walks through the door saying after me while the other worker has a handful of a coffee order lol and the worker is just like mMmHm yUP suRetHing aSsHoLe
