On the issue of ATN and the offer; the disconnect in value is due to a bias even we as an audience have. PGN and ATN are meant to be the in-world equivalence of CNN and Fox News; you could argue left-leaning and right-leaning for different audiences. You could be an audience for one news channel and think you have some revamping ideas for the other news channel, in this case, Mattson being left-leaning thinks ATN is just angry men shouting around. Which it is but you have 50% of the population who tune in to watch that; the other 50% tune in to watch the other news channel. What you dont want to do now is alienate the people who already watch your shows to stop watching; this is where he is wrong; its still the Waystar Royco money maker and Tom through luck, convenience, or competence has been running a smooth ship as head of ATN (along with Syd). Logan had the best business acumen as he was going for a monopoly of the industry, if you own both news channels then play them off each other and just sit back and let the cash rake in.
