This video tutorial is all about transforming an old unused fountain into a succulent fountain arrangement in 6 easy steps. Start by painting the fountain to give it a new look. I suggest to stick on earthly colors, preferably brown, to give it a natural look. I used a terracotta color to match my existing pots. The second step is to add gravel. This will create a sort of drainage to prevent the water from settling in the roots of your succulents. The third step is to add a well draining soil. The formula that I use is a mixture of 2 parts potting soil, 1 part perlite and 1 part sand and so far it has been working well for my succulents. Then add large rocks, stones or logs to create height on the arrangement. And my favorite part, is arranging the succulents. Position the taller ones at the back and alternate the different shapes and colors to give a dramatic effect. And lastly, apply the toppings by sprinkling the pebbles on top of the soil and completely cover the soil.
I hope you guys enjoyed the tutorial on how to make succulent fountain arrangement. Be Inspired and CREATE!
