Let's revisit summer growth in my succulent fountain! It's Your Succulent Tip of The Day! With Laura Eubanks at Design for Serenity! THANKS FOR SHARING THIS VIDEO WITH YOUR SUCCULENT LOVING FRIENDS AND GROUPS😊
Awe Have Learned so Much from you. .. Thank you. We Especially like it when you have all the Names of the plants at the end of your videos. Very Helpful. Love the Plant Fountain. ! 🌴
It's looking great! This makes me miss all my succulents I lost in the storm 💔 especially my string of pearls! Poor babies, can't believe they're gone!
These are my favorite of your videos. I never know exactly what to do when my succulents have problems-leggy, sunburned, spent flowers etc. great video
Laura, Can you please post a video every day. Pretty please.🙏 The first thing I do when I go on RU-vid is check to see if you posted a new video. Everything you post is great. From short educational videos to spectacular Grand reveals. You are awesome.
My succulents grow by accident..they are looking scraggly and I started watching your video on how to tighten things up. I planted the leaves wrong and had to pull them out and lay them on top of the soil. Duh. Now, I'm hooked and want to run right up to Lowe's and get some new stuff! Thanks for your tips! Summer is coming..God help me!
Hi Laura! Love from Florida! I love watching your videos. Has actually taught me a lot about succulents and their care 😀 I bought a fountain myself a year ago, and did nothing with it lol. After seeing your video setting yours up, I got all sorts of excited about mine! After collecting sucs from stores here n there for the last month, (and hubby buying me quite a few yesterday for my birthday lol) I was finally able to fill my fountain and it is, by far, my most favorite in my whole garden! Totally wish I could upoad a photo lol. Looking forward to your next tip of the day video!!!! 💖
Thank you for your ideas! It would be ever so helpful if you could post a list of the plants you used in your fountain, & also perhaps a list of succulents that might do ok in sun, if there are any! :0)
Thanks laura your advices they are really good I'm wondering wether this would be helpful in my area where the weather is really hot and dry (100- 130 fahrenheit) ?? beacause i lost most of my plant this summer and i don't want this to happen again next year.
Laura and community, can you plant both cacti and succulents together in a larger fountain? I live I zone 9b. Any recommendations? This would be a great YT video. Thanks!
What did you do for soil? I have a huge 3tier fountain and want to what you did. I will probably drill a few holes in bottoms with masonry drill bit for drainage especially during rain. What do you think?
FlowerHouse you have to do that in general if you get a lot of rain where you live. Regardless of the container, even with drainage, they can easily get too much water and get root rot. Make sure if you use some more of plastic or anything to cover it though that it isn't touching the plants because then moisture can build up and they can get crown rot as well
I live in the Philippines so we get a lot of rain around June. Is it okay for the succulents? I have a makeshift planter like that in my garden. I'm planning to put in succulents but worrying that they might drown during the rainy season and it gets really hot during summer. That area is shaded so it's okay for my babies. The only issue i have: no roof. I really want to use that part of the garden for succulents but I dunno where to start. I only plant them in pots but I wanna try something different. Can you guys help me out? Much appreciated. :) PS. Thanks for the tips and tricks Laura, you're awesome.
Elaine Lim trial and error is the way to learn your microclimates. Maybe move them around the space while still in pots to test them in the spot before permanently planting! Good luck!
