Usually I would be upset if someone else said it, but for Linus to say it himself shows me that he's not bothered by petty drama. If he can make a self-degrading joke and still be happy, then I'm perfectly comfortable with knowing that the false accusations were just that.

I really appreciate this video! Been trying to decide what I want to do with updating my PS5's look, but I couldn't find a single picture or video of the right side of the official or Dbrand plates. Now I know. I'm thinking I'll get my own vinyl decals to put on the Dbrand plates

The graphic on DBrands plates are ok, the colour of them could be more vibrant, but the main reason i dont want a dbrand plate is because the side vent looks so ugly, it looks like i should be cooking my noodles on it

They released the first one and Miles Morals on pc already. They even optimized it for the ryzen 16 core processors! The first one on pc looks just as good as the footage you showed in the video of the new one.

Imagine if DBrand did those ventilation cutouts in the shape of the spider web(and gave you red paint to paint inside of the vent and added red led inside), how amazing it would be! but this way it is so distracting and ugly looking, but print is nice.

The Best Buy drop for the official Spidey plates was chaos. Pretty sure no humans got an order in. Thankfully dBrand was there for me. Could've chosen the Arachnoplates but went with translucent ice blue.

odd I work at BestBuy, my store literally has like 80 of them in our warehouse, typically no one even wants to buy them because you don't get a deal on the game, and at $729 they barely even want to pay the $649 for the regular disk edition.

I bought the limited edition console bc it would cost me about the same or more to get the console, plates, a controller/skin/custom painted and the game versus just buying this. I’m lucky to live in a small country that’s not as affected by scalpers. I bought it with plenty stock on friday or saturday and I’m picking it up today.

Expected a bit of different video after the first few moments and Linus saying that it's bad to choose between the slim and the "fat" one. In the end he never talked about the slim anymore and just compared the old one to the darkplates 🤷🏼‍♂️ But nevertheless, good video, really like the darplates because theyre working great with the "sticker" for the middle part and the fan cutouts are actually quite useful 💪🏼

Yeah I was beyond pissed when Sony released the Spider-Man 2 PS5 face plates for $65 with a limited production run because all the scalpers grabbed them and now they are on Ebay for over $200.

The official Sony plates are not available on Sony's site, and scalpers are selling them for upwards of $150. I ordered the Drand Arachnid plates twice but canceled both since they were on backorder forever, so I ordered the knock off Spidey plates on Ebay, $59.99

I found my PS5 was quite a bit louder once I added the Dark Plates on to it - I ended up going back to the standard shell.

@@Jecobe Oh it definitely made sense why it was louder - I had an exposed fan by my head ha-ha. It might make a loud PS5 quieter if it's having heat issues, but it can make a quiet PS5 louder for sure. They looked cool though.

I got black plates from some unbranded thing off Amazon for like £30, Q-View I think. First thing I did after I got it, white console looks pretty stupid in your average entertainment cabinet.
