They are not supported yet (need future update), and they need PCIe 4.0 drives, which only a few drives on the market are anyway... Linus already proven there isn't a perceivable difference between SATA, PCIe and PCIe 4.0 drives anyway... Not cheap out buying a super budget drive for OC is more important...)

@Classy Ducks you paid 500 dollars for a console, 500 fucking dollars, why wouldn't you want it to stick out? also, Sony made their console very easy to clean with the dust catchers, and cleaning the glossy plastic bit is easy too, just get a rag or microfiber cloth and swipe down it

@@jamiefitzpatrick4377 honestly feel like it's got potential, but only after painting something ridiculous onto it( think someone mentioned the panels handle paint really well and it's basically a blank canvas) frankly the blue lights also probably weren't the best choice still personally prefer it over the xbox tho, which looks like nothing, and at least ps tried, to mixed results even if but i understand the circumstantial appeal for both to an extent. maybe it's now down to which basic shape you prefer, boxes or "wavey popped collar white jacketed" boxes. very divisive i think i just like how honest the ps5 is, it's dumb and ridiculous and it's not hiding it.

To be real - Wouldnt be under the hood not plastic parts that much and more visibility for the real hardware, it would probably even look better without the white plastic elements. All Sony wanted was that the PS5 looks like the future - I really hope the future of Computers isnt looking like that

It's ashame people think they'll save money on the digital version. When in reality disc games will be cheaper and on sale quicker than the PS Store will have a meaningful discount on the game. Yeah that digital version you bought just ended up costing the same as the disc version in games you've bought at a higher price.

Phillips screw can die so fast if you are using a small screwdriver than the screw itself. it just eats the metal away. I dont know why torx are not standart for base mounts on every new thing now

Linus, since the PS2, sony has let you always use non-proprietary storage, I think you're able to use USB Sticks as PS2 Memory Cards, if I'm not mistaken. And the PS3 and PS4 and HDD Bays for 2.5inch Laptop drives.

Yes, technically both the general vibration feedback in the controller and the resistive triggers are haptic - 'haptic' is a term that covers any kind of touch-based feedback. But calling them 'haptic' and 'resistive' respectively makes it clearer what each thing does.

I think the difference between resistive triggers and haptic feedback is that haptic feedback just uses a rumble function very precisely to create the illusion of some kind of resistance or texture to the input, while resistive actually uses motors to put pressure on the trigger against your input.

Since the side panels are easily removed I wonder if there will be 3rd party custom side panels available. Its basically a cheap blow moulded plastic part. Personally I think mat black side panels that follow the curve of the main chassis would look way better

Sony's not allowing that. (platestation was denied for example) It's so obvious that Sony wants to sell limited edition PS5's in the future, or at least replacement panels just like they did with the PS4. But, as I'm sure you've seen everywhere, the PS5 side panels are really easy to paint or hydrodip...

he’s talking about the screws on the console. it should be phillips because everyone has a phillips head screwdriver, instead it’s torx screws to make it more difficult to open
