SUCKING GOO OUT OF MY GIANT SNAKE TO SAVE ITS LIFE! 

I lost a beautiful Western Hognose after she laid a bunch of infertile eggs a few years ago. I palpated her, and had my father palpate her to make sure she hadn’t retained any slugs. We both didn’t feel anything and she seemed fine for a couple of weeks, eating and drinking, then I come home from work one day and she was dead.. Thank you guys for showing what can happen to females during breeding, because a lot of people don’t realize what can go wrong

Honestly took me too long to realize how lucky I am that nerds right in my backyard. I’ve been going there for my reptiles and supplies since I was a kid! These guys LOVE their animals!

Sending massive hugs to Jeremy, you could just see the worry and stress in him poor guy. Kevin is just brilliant, his knowledge and capabilities never cease to amaze me. Get better quickly Mumma python, you were such a trooper during this whole thing.

Kevin your the man the knowledge you have stored in your brain, I’d give anything to learn even just a fraction of what you know. I watch your videos a couple times each just to learn and observe what ever I can. If I lived closer I’d probably come in every day until you hire me or I’d be completely cool with working for free because it’s not work if you love what your doing. But honestly thank you guys for sharing so I can still feel apart of the crew so thanks again you guys rock🤘🏻

Kevin develops procedures for saving reptiles. Vets learn from him, so yeah, not a lot of point in going to a vet when you have access to him, lol. Hope your girl has a speedy recovery Jeremy. Egg binding is always scary.

I don't have a lot of love for reptiles. But the displayed caring, and informed husbandry of these reptiles is touching and impactful. The way y'all illustrate the relationships developed with time and effort with these creatures is very impressive. Still not gonna cozy up to cold blooded creatures myself, but this content has changed my mind about them. Good on y'all for that.

When I die I want to come back as one of Kevin's snakes, that man really & truly loves his reptiles!! I don't care what anybody says, but Kevin is absolutely amazing at what he does.

I was very lucky when my P bivittatus progschai had a retained clutch (if not two clutches). I used maternal incubation & provided a suitable nest box. She went through the motions & I waited 56days for a result. A few more days later & still no sign of life I removed the female from her nest to find a clutch of horrible looking stinky eggs. However she was still full of eggs. After cleaning things up & a visit to my reptile vet (who ultra-sounded the patient & palpated several eggs out) I was encouraged to palpate the remaining eggs from her myself. I also soaked her & we mostly expelled them whilst in the bath tub. I surmise that without a nest box the previous year she had retained a clutch. The next season she was only able to deposit the really old eggs & overall somehow attempted two months of incubation until I realised that she needed additional support. Since then she has completed her maternal duties on several occasions with 100% hatch rate for fertile eggs. Good luck with your reticulated python, if possible do an update letting us know the procedure helped. Amazing video. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Poor baby. I don’t know if I missed it being mentioned, but is this a first time clutch? I have a BP I plan to try and breed in about 2 years, so I’ve been doing tons of research. But this isn’t something I’ve seen before, so I would love to know if this is a problem that can happen with new mothers.
