Chris Kattan's "Southern lawyer" is a stereotype we have seen too many times. Perfectly done.

Kattan was all-in on every sketch he did. This sketch seems so well-rehearsed and everyone delivers amazing performances; even the extras. Molly Shannon has only a few "words" and she slays.

This is an absolute classic! The 90s SNL cast was the best in my opinion. A rendition of this sketch with Chris Katan returning host would be a great episode!

John Goodman is every man’s actor. He doesn’t need awards of some Hollywood elite to know that he is deeply loved by many people. He has been is many films, shows and one of most relatable actors of our time

i'm from arkansas and this is what i got from the skit :) ( "Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I'd like to start off by thanking you for being here today. We really appreciate it. Now! I will prove today, without a shadow of a doubt, that my client is an innocent man. So, ask yourself can you execute an innocent man? (prosecutor asks barnett her question then kattan says) "Objection your honor" (then when it's kattan's turn to ask the questions) "Care to tell us another diddy about the defendant excuse me your friend. it's a simple question tell another diddy go ahead. So you dont sincerely know do you? (John Goodman asks do se do) Did I just hear you say you dont sincerely know? Not do se do but Don't sincerely know. (Prosecutor asks john goodman if he saw defendant kill the person he says yes) I object your honor on the grounds this prosecutor is leading the witness! (Prosecutor complains being called prostitute) oh my god oh my god I did not call you a prostitute, ok now mr. barnett Is it true that you have a bit of a drinking problem? (Um um) you know? I've got a drinking problem (no no...yes?) Need I remind you that you are under oath. (then he draws the picture and says) is it true you got so jealous, so jealous you DRUGGED & FRAMED YOUR PARTNER! SO JEALOUS SO JEALOUS YOU DRUGGED YOUR PARTNER!?) as far as gaggiti bo is concerned i am thinking that is "gets to go free boy" or just gibberish for comedic effect as some of what he said in skit was but if he was really saying words during it then what i said above is probably close according to some people's southern speak lol great sketch either way!

I have watched this skit so many times that now I can actually understand most of what Chris Kattan is saying! I need a life, I know.

Chris Kattan is by far the best-animated actor. I just felt so bad when I heard he was in an accident and cost him to stop being so animated. I still love watching his movies.

This skit could have eaily bombed but Kattan and Molly made it absolutely classic.

I just discovered this skit this week. It's like finding a hidden track on a favorite record.

I remember watching this live as a kid not thinking it was funny because it sounded like he's just saying gibberish, but as I'm rewatching this decades later, it's hilarious now that I realize it's actual words

Ohhhh, I finally got it: "Mr. Barnett, is it true that you have a serious drinking problem?" Ha! A few more decades and I'll have it all completely deciphered.

John Goodman is one of those hosts who was basically another cast member. He nailed it everytime he hosted.

This has to be on the list for best SNL sketch ever. Everything about it is great and performed so well. It tastes a simple idea and fleshes it out hilariously.

I just visited family in Kentucky. An older gentleman that lives over the hill stopped by to chat. He sounded a lot like this. Later my kids asked me if he was speaking English. LOL

I'm from the Savannah area, a transplant from up North. When we first moved here we couldn't understand some rural people. They'd run all their words together. Half dozen words would sound like one huge compound word. Not quite like this, but in a different accent. Now, we understand them perfectly.

Kris and this character are genius together. Molly's part to this sketch was utterly brilliant as well.

I just went and saw Chris Kattan's stand-up comedy show last night in Royal Oak michigan and was able to have a picture taken with him afterwards. Such a nice guy.

The 90's was by far SNL at it's peak. It was the best show on television back then.

One of the best sketches ever. I have watched and laughed at it so many times. But I am still trying to decipher some of the words. Which makes it even more funny.

Dude is one of my only heroes of comedy and idol for being a badass in the Roxbury skits and movie. So happy I had the pleasure to meet him.

This sounds like my .Mississippi grandpa. I never understood a word he said, Mom told me to mimic what he did. If grandpa smiled, I was to smile, if he looked angry I needed to look sad. That deep Delta tongue was hard to understand.

I have to watch this at least 2 or 3 times a month!! One of the funniest skits since the early 80s days of SNL.

Once in a great while SNL has a worthwhile hilarious skit.

The best thing about Suel Forrester sketches is that he is actually saying real words if you listen closely. Poor writers could have easily copped out and just had him spew gibberish, but they didn't.
