@@spartybrearly7221 it is part of a politicians job to give speeches regardless of if you think they are irrelevant. Spreading ideas and beliefs is never irrelevant.
Well said, Holmes. Treating women like half-a-person is backward and feral. In the 1920s, Britain had civil disobedience for women to be treated like a full person and vote Yet now, in Britain, one religion specifically advocates and insists on treating women like half-a-person. This is wrong and a pox on that religion.
The Conservatives have too many MPs who wanted to remain in the EU. The British public voted to leave. They lied to the public about getting Brexit done. Keep lying and the people get sick of you.
That's about the size of it, a bunch of duplicitous liars with no regard for the result of the referendum. As a result, we now have labour who will accelerate our demise....
You are welcome to her, please take her somewhere, anywhere, we are sick of listening to her usual anti anybody else diatribe, I'm wonderful, everybody else is just rubbish, she makes the rest of the Tories look normal.
Suella well said. Please defect to reform as the next five years under Labour is frightening and dangerous to this country. Join Nigel and make Britain great again before its to late
She’ll give the Tories one last chance to save themselves in the leadership contest then, assured she tried and having exposed their irreparable decrepitude in the process , she’ll jump ship with a clear conscious. She’s becoming quite a force and she’ll be a great asset to us.
The ensuing EGO WAR of Cruella, Farage and Anderson all vying for attention and relevance would be a car crash, the likes of which we've never seen. Two narcissists and a clown. She' s on here, decrying "liberals" - I’ve always found this really odd, The opposite of “LIBERAL” is “ILLIBERAL” - The definition of illiberal is NARROWMINDED / BIGOTED. Be careful what you wish for as numbers of the illiberal are growing rapidly.
The Conservative Government talked a good game but failed to deliver. As a former Conservative voter, I moved to Reform as I see the party, not as hard right as the left wing press would like people to think, but as centre right, the space the Conservatives used to occupy. Sort out the woke, left wing Civil Service, reduce quangos, reduce taxes, stop the unrelenting wave of immigration, strengthen our armed forces etc. Suella's rightful place is within the Reform Party
What is 'a true conservative?' Is it Deputy Leader Ben Habib, who avoids responding to an open question on immigration - by pretending it was only about illegal immigration?
Love Suella, she is a great and patriotic minister. I think she is wasted in the current Conservative party, but they also need members like her to drag them from the mire, I am sure she will make the correct decision .
I'm a center right Conservative. I didn't vote for the CONservatives. I didn't leave the Conservative Party, IT LEFT ME! The British Conservative Party aren't Conservatives anymore, they are Blairite Social Democrats like Labour... I voted for the ONLY true center right party... REFORM!
I love her I think she’s fantastic, every time she speaks I need to watch, Suella is such an asset to The Conservatives and they don’t realise it, this is such a great speech However, we are Reform voters now Suella, it’s not just a few reasons why we all left the Tories it’s a lot of things Reform speak the language of the silent majority Suella you need to go over to Reform UK we need you and you need us, let’s be honest you will never be truly accepted by The Conservatives not anymore, you will be massively welcomed by Reform
But it's pushed by Capitalism. Capitalism has nothing to gain from tradition, the traditional family unit/ only 1 parent working and strong borders. Try and understand why conservatives never ever actually conserve ANYTHING.
The Conservative canvasser came knocking on my door and I told him I'm voting for Reform. He said that that will mean the Labour party get in. I said that's the only way the Conservatives will learn. He couldn't answer that. You have to play the long game.
Yep. There's no tangible, meaningful difference between Conservatives and Labour. This is what Peter Hitchens failed to understand. It's worth letting Labour get the win because we're just going to get more of the same anyway with either party. Better to support Reform and send a strong message to the Tories that they're in the wrong lane and hopefully get some of the better Conservatives like Suella and Kemi to hopefully defect.
Suella I love what you said and agree with you however I voted for Nigel and live in Clacton but I will never vote for Con again I’m sorry to say, I think you would be great in reform, I’m going to congratulate Nigel on Fri and will I talk to him about what you have said, dare say he might have seen this.
If you think, Suella, that the British Conservative Party is going to change and that you might be able to lead it to Sunlit Uplands, you are deluding yourself. Take the opportunity to become part of the future of Britain. Join Reform.
It was a load crap that you would expect from Braverman who has never been right about anything. Wrong on Brexit and immigration. The Tories lost because they became too right wing.
Suella, I totally agree with what you say. This Tory government will never do what is needed to put this Country back on the right track to normality. This is why we will never vote for them again. Do the right thing no matter how hard you might think it is to do. Join the Reform Party, it is the way forward, it is the future.
@@oll-turny-llo8200 You couldn't pay me to be in the same room as such people. As with other Farage vehicles, it'll fade and die the second the economy turns or Labour appear competent. The Culture Wars will die as the Tories need to clean house and that leaves ReTARD with NOTHING to offer.
@@bondy7564 There is a distinction. Liberals are full capitalists, while Leftists are in part collectivists. But both push for migration. Liberals bring migrants for economic reasons (slaves with low wages) and the leftist idiots bring the moral bail by saying it's for "generosity" (because they can't openly say they play the game of capitalists against the indigenous working class).
We actually don’t want conservative politicians to change, we want a party that is full of politicians actually believe in conservative values! If the politicians in the Conservative party were actually conservative already, we wouldn’t be in this mess! This is why the conservative party has lost all trust with voters, because the so say conservatives are not conservative at all! The last thing we want is another promise that this time we will be more conservative! The tories are dead!
Were I still a Conservative (now Reform) I would vote for this lady as she is a true conservative additional to being solidly honest and realistic about her and the CP's current situation. Whatever happens in the Conservative Party I feel sure Reform UK would happily open the door should matters et a little out of hand.
I want to trust Suella, but she needs to say more if she wants to convince me that there's no Blob-type entity or complex of entities twisting the arms of right wing politicians who dare to depart from business as usual.
While she talks the people's voice she gets likes, ticks the box, but the minute they clamp her voice to toe the line she becomes nothing, join reform she is the queen of the truth, and honesty. Do we the people have to beg her.
An excellent speech. I hope to see Suella as our PM one day. However, I think her idea of defeating Reform by making the Tory party genuinely conservative is unrealistic. Most of her colleagues are hopelessly mired in liberalism, and will not join her. The solution must surely be an alliance with Reform: either the true conservatives like Suella and Kemi defect to Reform, or they persuade Farage and his mates to join the Tories. Labour will be a disaster and support for Reform will grow. They have to be welcomed, not shamed.
As an American and Trump voter, it seems to me that Reform-and Suella-might take over and reshape the Conservative Party the way Trump did the Republican Party. Not so easily done, as you may have noticed, but…
People will continue to fall for this stuff. One of the reasons for data collection is so they can identify your concerns and then pretend to care about them.
I think her opponents need to answer this. The few remaining real social conservatives in the parliamentary Conservative party should be using this as a test and if the party fails to address then use it as legitimate reason to defect.
As you read this remember, I was a paid up Conservative party member, and a Conservative voter man and boy. My turning point was when I was denied my vote in the Conservative party leadership election when Sunak was appointed leader where he was manipulated into the PM job without any form of public consent. Long story short....I WILL NEVER VOTE CONSERVATIVE EVER AGAIN. Why, because I have constantly been lied to, deceived, taken for granted, and treated like a fool for to long.
I'm no expert on British politics but did hear some Conservative speeches at their meets. I was most impressed by their lack of content. The Conservatives seemed to be the no content political party. I did hear Braverman briefly speak a few times before and was left favorably impressed. Hopefully fate may turn her way and place her on a path to a higher leadership office.
Neither is she, she's just a populist arseh0le triggering a few gammons. Theyve always done it as they have NOTHING TO OFFER but hatred and division. Truly Lizard brained stuff.
She was part of the Prime Ministers cabinet until she got fired by the Cabinet. The Tories are a toxic brand now and do not deserve to be in the commons for the 14 years of complete and utter mismanagement and blatantly not doing what they said they were going to do. This is why ReformUK must replace Tories.
Great speech ! Suella, there's no home for you, or any real Conservative in the Tory party, Tories are beyond saving. I will never vote fot them again, or for Labour (never have)
Did no one in the Conservative party think, hold on a minute we're supposed to be conservative? Do they even realise what conservatism is and that it's diametrically opposite to progressive?
You do know what a Trojan horse is don’t you mate? We have been voting them in since before Winston Churchill mate he was another one just puppets owned and controlled by people who’s names we do not know and if we did we like the fake leaders of the world wouldn’t dare tell.
Who d hell on earth asked the Tory party to follow liberalism policy using the name of CONSERVATIVE PARTY.....wish Mr FARAGE now ensures that this name of CONSERVATIVE PARTY no longer b there with the Tories anymore 😠
It's funny that joke in parliament complimenting each other and not pretending to disagree on tiny things for once .Abott was given rousing applause and Mr farage booed .
Suella Braverman is leading the restoration of a strand of conservative thinking here that has not been at the forefront of British conservatism for decades. There was an articulation here of the deepest purpose of the conservative disposition, to preserve and cherish a place in which we may feel at home, be at ease, know ourselves to be secure, and so to raise a family. Conservatism is not now, and never was, about money. This is a vision that could inspire a generation, from a politician whose voice is heard around the world. That matters.
I'd maybe qualify that with "the previous incumbents in Westminster were too split". There's been a loss of two thirds of the MPs; an opportunity to rebuild almost from scratch in 2029, given the right leadership. I may be wrong, but I don't think the grass roots of the party in the local Associations has changed that much. Small "c" conservative voters clearly now have a choice between the Conservatives and Reform, as the comments here suggest. Nigel Farage, with his vote share, has done a great job in sending a clear message to the Conservatives about which way potential conservative voters lean. If the party listens and elects a Braverman-type leader, maybe the time is right to find some way of working together? The question that has to be asked is; have we witnessed a sea-change in politics with the rise of reform or was this a cry for help from conservative voters whose natural instincts were, and still are, to vote Tory? If the latter, then maintaining a situation where they are forced to choose between two parties is counter productive to the conservative cause.
Queen Suella Braverman👑A lady who is an asset to British Politics and someone we as conservatives can be proud of. I'd encourage people not from the UK to look into her career as a politician. My hope is one day she'll be the PM of the UK. She's had a tough time in recent years because the Tory party Suella is part of failed abysmally at pretty much everything. They even blamed her wrongly and unfairly for some things. But she's toughed it out. Suella is on social media fellow conservatives around the world, feel free to follow and support her. She's a diamond of a politician.
One of the best speeches I’ve heard in a very long time and certainly the best Tory speech. Get that lady in Reform and get real right-wing politics back in this country
Just to balance things up, reform won voters from labour too because people are fed up with the wokeism, cancel culture, loss of freedom of speech and unachievable climate change policies that they promote. Suella is right that centre left and centre right parties are neither left or right wing, leaving voters isolated with no party representing them, be brave, decide what you are then maybe voters will have defined choices again.
We love Suella. Please be brave be strrong. You need alliance with Reform to take the party ahead. We're immigrants here and very very concerned about the agenda of the left who sadly have total political power at all level over UK now.
We stopped doing conservatism when we started rigging mortgage rates rock bottom. At that point on , home prices rocketted and future conservatives became locked out of ever owning. And all the conservatories can do is offer help to buy. When sunak came out with that one a couple of weeks ago , that was end of voting tory for me.
