How to make a sugar bowl or sugar sail cake topper without isomalt or digital thermometer? What would your friends say if you tell them that they could have their ice cream and eat their bowl too? This sugar bowl looks like some fancy expensive glassware; it is not only very easy to make but adds a sweetness to your dessert.
I have given two recipes for light corn syrup and glucose syrup as well. Keep all your materials ready before you start as the sugar will start to harden quickly and giving it your desired shape wont be possible.
You will need to measure very accurately and make sure you heat it slowly while you stir continuously and reach the correct boiling point.
Also be very careful while handling the syrup.
INGREDIENTS
140g sugar
30g water
40g light corn syrup
gel food colour
