Another crap thing about Harley giving her girlboss speech to batman. She can't say much about Batman ruining people's lives when this is the same Harley that was completely ok with Joker killing and dismembering kids. It's ok thou she turned a new leaf 🙄

White Deadshot shot a guy hiding behind a car after ricocheting it off a wall and from hundreds of feet away. Black dead shot barely used a gun normally.

My favorite part about the dual dead shots is the fact that it is told to us that they are exactly the same. They both have the same abilities and a daughter. The only difference is one is white and one is black. Black shot says he killed white shot, which means he orphaned his own child in a sense. Father of the year.

Harley has absolutely ZERO room to lecture Batman about hurting others when she was the Joker's biggest flunky. The Joker has caused far more hurt, destruction, and pain than Batman, and if Harley wasn't supporting it, she was directly involved.

The why they treat flash that saved them 2 times in a row just pissed me off.

People forget that we see and hear flash having orders to BRING LEX TO BRAINIAC ALIVE. There’s no scene showing or telling us that brainiac changes his mind and wants Lex dead. So flash just went agasint his brainwashing…

Wait wait wait.. the police shot gas that gave the crowd superpowers? What the hell? The original origin story for Static Shock made some sense.. did the writers think the gas grenade is what did it, not the massive palette of unstable chemicals?!

Regarding Saints Row reboot, that was all 100% Deep Silver. Even their community manager, DeadlySteph, who attacked the fans, was a Deep Silver employee, not Volition. Volition _did_ make the game an unplayable mess, so they deserved to get shut down too, but Deep Silver made all the "creative" decisions. And yeah, Sushi Squad is the "Five Guys" event that started Gamergate 2, assuming that's still even going on.

Funny enough Batman's last line perfectly sums up this game.

to be fair amanda waller did make an appearance previously in the arkham series in arkham origins where she is skinny. however, KTJL amanda still looks nothing like arkham origins amanda; not even as an older version of her, so yeah youre not wrong that they changed her appearance.

If they wanted to put a black character on the team, Manta is right there, and Manta has 100x more sauce than any interpretation of Flloyd. The Deadshot thing is becasue this game started development around the time of the first movie and Will Smith was Deadshot. This is brand synergy delayed by almost a decade.

i feel like these gaming companies are too caught up with diversity and representation that they forgor that what really matters most to gamers is (well generally) gameplay, story, and cool characters. batman arkham verse prior to suicide squad was such a huge success bc it focused on those three FIRST and foremost. in my opinion a "feminist" arkham installation that was actually good was the batgirl DLC. they did not overplay her gender at all. they focused on barbara's character, and the idea of her having to "earn her wings". they SHOWED shes a strong independent woman by making u PLAY as HER to save her father (with help from robin of course). the key is SHOWING, NOT TELLING. imagine if she made a fucking speech to joker about how she's strong and she's her own person and just because she's a girl yada yada yada... batgirl is cool not because she's a girl ; she's cool because she's a cool character who also just happens to be a girl!

Instead, how are these hacks have more budget than talented writers who can see from 4 parallel universes away that "Self-fulfilling propheciy" is a Chekov's Gun set to full auto? We just get so many evil Superman’s now that a lot of people think comic Superman is boring when his whole idea of protecting humans and wanting to understand them and help them is probably one of the most interesting things in comics. I guarantee the plan for this game is to have the storyline in each season be that the Justice League we kill were clones of the main members. So other than Wonder Woman, they're all still alive. I am genuinely convinced that one of the reasons why Rocksteady has still been trying to push this game so much is because it means they can essentially advertize it by saying they're the ones who have Kevin Conroy's last performance as Batman. He's a big name in DC for a reason, he MADE the Batman we know and love. It feels like how signatures from dead celebrities are worth more money due to the scarcity. Its like they're going "Look at us!! We have the last performance from the guy you all grew up hearing as Batman!! You know, the one who quite literally made the iconic Batman voice!!" Also when it comes to video games when we went from playing Vice city, a white character, to San Andreas, a black character no one cared. The only thing people talked about was how you could now climb, swim, and fly! People should focus on making a good product instead of treating people like products!

As a guy who has watched pretty much everything an American kid could watch in the 2000s, especially any Power Rangers season with that franchise being more diverse than any other on screen, I definitely do not need characters to look like me (African appearance) to deeply care for them, it's simply nice to see the Afro Diaspora in stuff without making it a big deal in the writing. Simply write the character with real personalities, no matter what the character looks like. You could make a Dramedy about the Amoeba Boys and I may tear up. BUT, I do not want to ignore the fact that how long it takes to get to a non-adaptation human, non-Euro (non-white) lead character as the first/only you play in that universe is completely on purpose by devs who really don't like making brown skin characters (whether Asian, Pacific Islander, Indigenous Americas, African) who fit that lead character description, hence exceptions takes forever in between. Video games has even had more animals as the sole/first lead, and I love Sly Cooper, Crash Bandicoot, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, Spyro, so I have no hate for them either (we are lacking new characters like them as well 🤦🏿‍♂️). It is important to move away from the devs practically lackadaisically going, "Uhhh, white dude/dudette... Maybe give their white name/life to a non-white body or something" without a second thought so often. Also important to expand the cultures to make decent stories/warriors with beyond European and East Asian without mostly waiting for Asassin's Creed, Africanizing Norse myth figures and occasional indie games with African, South Asian, Aztec, etc. basis or waiting for such to pop up in Raid: Shadow Legends or something. The U.S.A.'s population is neither here nor there as the country even has way more non-Euro-descent people in the workforce than as the sole lead of a video game universe without European/East Asian setting. We took so long to create more non-Euro characters to play that SBI, with their questionable symbol, crawled in and made such an innocent thing feel like... well... an inside job.

Thank you for putting into words the icky feelings I had surrounding this game. The Batman Arkham series is simply a masterpiece, and I refuse to let SSKTJL ruin that for me. I can easily head canon that this POS is not in my (the actual) Arkhamverse. They gave me the keys to do so when they included the multiverse anyway. That also easily explains the two Floyd Lawtons (not only was Floyd white in the Ahkamverse, he was also white in the animated movie set in the Arkhamverse Batman: Assault on Arkham), why Amanda Waller is now modeled after her voice actress (Debra Wilson) rather than her look in Arkham Origins, and why Harley is a COMPLETELY different character than in my (the actual) Arkhamverse. So, yeah, SSKTJL is not canon to my (the actual) Arkhamverse. Rest in Peace Kevin Conroy, the actual GOAT.

Ho boy! If you think the static shock animated series is the original original story, you got another thing coming.

I laughed at the “Joker shooting soldiers in the balls” scene… and trust me when I say this- after an animation I saw with an alternate Batman scene, this was what I considered to be real canon… 1. Prior to the tape with Flash and Wonder Woman, Batman went through the same Fear Toxin process when Brainiac tried to control him, locking whatever Brainiac had into the deepest pits of Bat-Hell with the Joker. 2. Flash and Green John (John Stewart Green Lantern) were probably of another earth controlled by Braniac, the real Flash and Green John lived, but were butting heads off screen on who had the cooler death. It was Green John. Superman was freed after Green John’s “death” thanks to Wonder Woman and Batman. Plus some special effects by Dick Nightwing. Jason helped with placing the nuke somewhere where Braniac’s forces were gathered the most (thanks Bats) 3. Batman fooled Brainiac long enough to use his fear toxin on the Suicide Squad, and it hurt like hell considering he was playing the role of the glorified bullet sponge. Knowing of Waller’s plan to off the Justice League, after the Batcave fight, he kept up the fear toxin, letting Luthor in on the loop. Superman then goes out of his way to beat the hell out of Brainiac. 4. Batman’s “death” happens, and he shows back up to incapacitate the Suicide Squad, disabling their nanobombs prior. Mostly cause he’s cracked tech like this before thanks to Jason’s Militia. 5. Finally, Batman threatens Waller with removal of her station, and once again the Justice League wins.
