"Withnail and I" is a SUPERB movie ! I literally just watched it with my next door neighbour last week (at her request...and we'd both watched it together already about 6months or so ago I think). I must have seen the movie at least 6 or 7 times and it just gets better with every viewing ! 👍
Great to hear there's another fan out there for the movie Michael. There doesn't seem to be too many of us out there. Probably explains why it's one of the worst videos I've done in terms of viewings
Nice1 m8 ! I'm not a fan of the movie myself but I think you might be the first person (other than myself) that liked the way Leto played Joker in this one...I thought for the "trashy style" of the movie and especially as a counterpart to the way Margo played Harley that Leto did a great job !

Yeah like I said in the video Gary I'm not expecting this video to get much of a response because of the hatred that's out there for the movie. But as you said it's all about how I feel about it and I'm a huge fan and I couldn't be happier to have such a release. But thank you so much for the support.

I really appreciate this video because I enjoyed the movie a lot. I only wished they would have released all deleted scenes and made perhaps a little darker movie.
I never got around to watching the extended cut of this movie but I heard the Joker features a lot more in it. I really need to check it out. Great to hear that you enjoyed the movie yourself
Nice1 Keith 👍I'm not a fan of the movie myself but that's a very nice edition and that lenticular you show at 10:40 might be the most impressive lenticular I've ever seen ! I'm not intentionally a contrarian but I do often find myself in that situation 😉...now I've only seen the movie once and as I say I'm not a fan but the two things I honestly did like about the movie were Margot Robbie (ofc) and Jared Leto ! I almost want to watch the movie again to see if I'm mentally ill 😉because everyone I've seen talking about this movie commented on how bad Jared Leto was as the Joker...but I gotta say I liked him myself. Now, let me clarify...I don't like the movie and I tend to view all "Jokers" as completely independent and tied to their indiviual movies/series/performances, ofc Heath Ledger was amazing and so was Joquin Phoenix and I'm not for a second suggesting Jared Leto's performance compares...but they were both in very different movies portraying very different Jokers...for me, in this particular movie (and it's "trashy style") and especially as a counterpart to Margo's Harlequin, well I thought Jared Leto's Joker was rather good myself...and one of the only two highlights (the other being Margot) in an overall terrible movie.
I have to admit tiger I wasn't the biggest fan of Jared Leto's joker but having said that I think he was massively underutilised. Apparently the extended edition that you get with this release features a lot more from him so I need to check that out myself. When I seen him at the end of the Justice League I wondered to myself why was he not like that in the Suicide Squad . He seems so different. But I still really enjoyed the movie. Maybe it's because the reviews were so bad for it that my expectations were rock bottom that I inevitably found enjoyment from it. Everytime I watch it I'm always waiting to see what everyone else hates about it but it never happens and I hope it never does. One of the things I've come to learn by watching channels like yours (great channel m8 !) and John (Mondo...), Andy (Forgotten...) and many others is that people can be very passionate about movies, be very knowledgable about movies, have watched a LOT of movies (more than me !) and still have completely different tastes ! LOL now I know that might sound insanely obvious and completely stupid of me to think otherwise and I am exaggerating a bit to make the point...but what I'm trying to say is I find it fascinating and intriguing that we all perceive movies in different ways...I remember the first question I ever posed on Scott's stream was asking the panel what they thought of "Withnail and I" (springs to mind as I just re-watched it again with my next door neighbour a few nights ago) and watching all of your reactions was fascinating 🙂(Scott, Nigel, yourself and John). We all share a passion for movies...the differences in which ones we gravitate to most, the ones we gel with and don't gel with...it's what makes discussion and youtube channels fun ! 🙂👍
It goes without saying but if everybody had the same opinions then they'd be no point talking about movies. Like I said to you I wasn't too crazy about Jared Leto but it's only because of how the director handled his character more than anything. But I would never criticise yourself for enjoying the character as much as you did and that's why I love the people that are around my channel as much as I do because we all do have different opinions and I find it to be very fascinating to read. Yeah I never picked up the collector's edition of Titanic because I simply don't think it's worth the money. I'm hoping someday it will drop down in price and then I will definitely snap it up. I'm hoping it will drop down soon because I still haven't seen it on 4k. I've heard great things about it

Very nice editions Keith. I do like the color scheme on these ones. The spot glossing stands out beautifully and Harley Quinn is so hot in this movie, that outfit is Wow! Nice to see the glass cabinets making a cameo behind you.
Yeah I was probably around 6 videos ahead of myself when I removed the Cabinets so you might see it featured again a few times in the next couple of weeks. Spider-Man 1 Click Editions from Filmarena do go for absolutely crazy money. I have one of them in my collection and I'm hoping to pick up another. It's all about being patient and waiting for the right opportunity
The outer box is gorgeous, and the colours across the steelbooks are very nice and vibrant. But the steelbook designs do leave a lot to be desired. The film... I've not seen it. The amount of hoohaa that was made over it on social media really put me off, as well as the design of the Joker and the tit that is Jared Leto. The second film i lasted about 20 minutes before turning it off in boredom. But a great video as always, Keith. Nice one.
Hey Mike. To be honest I never listen 2 reviews when it comes to any movie because I would rather see it for myself. Some of my favourite movies were critically panned. I don't know what to tell you maybe someday you will give it a go and see what you think. The sequel feels very different to the original so you never know you might prefer it. Hey Keith , thank you so much for the video. You are a 100 per cent right, many people hate this movie, I don't, I don't think it is great , but it is enjoyable without any doubt. As for the sequel, I share your view, I remember thinking in the theater, why am I watching this thing and wasting my time ? I couldn't stand it. The collector's edition you have shown us is truly stunning, really worth the money it cost, vibrant colours and good artwork. Thank you again for another great, honest video. Stay safe my friend !
I am so relieved to hear that there is another fan out there for the original. Yeah like I said in the video it's a million miles away from being perfect but I had a fun time with it and it's mainly down to the cast. A lot of them were underutilized which is a bit of a shame but there was enough there to go on and it's a shame a lot of them didn't return in the sequel and it's probably why I didn't enjoy it. Maybe someday it might grow on me but I don't think I'll ever truly like it. But thank you once again my good friend for taking the time to check out this beautiful edition. This is a frustrating one for me. I like individual scenes of this but you don't need to know the history to notice its a compromised mulch. I really wanted to see the Ayer Cut and its a shame the new DC regime strung him along only to shut it down at the last hurdle.
There seems to be far too much of that going on when it comes to DC. They can never seem to get it right with the first theatrical release. They need the Director's Cut to Almost rescue it. But despite its issues I still had a fun time with the movie.
@millerman9991 yeah I'm not convinced what I've seen and heard of Superman Legacy either. It's clear by everything around Guardians that Gunn doesn't connect with large audiences, SS2 was an unfunny tonal mess.
@patton2773 yeah I have to agree with you Leigh. To be honest I'm not particularly looking forward to it but I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised. I don't particularly rate James Gunn the way audiences out there do. But we will have to see
That's a great edition Keith 👍 have to say that I really enjoyed Suicide Squad, the villain was a bit meh but I liked the cast, I'm probably in a group of one but I thought they were all ok.

@@millerman9991 yeah feels abit like Coppolas Dracula. Assault on Arkham the Suicide Squad animation film is worth a look if you haven't seen it mate better than both live action films
Maybe if there was some sort of embossing or high gloss finish to them I would appreciate them a bit more. I think they're a little bit lacking when you compare it to the rest of the set
