Love the Flik and Nina one. The 2D animation is amazing in this game. There's very few games outside this and Breath of Fire 3 and 4 that have such attention to detail.

Unite buff tips 1:20 It's dmg can be buffed if either Kasumi or Mondo equip "Secret Writings" special item from rope climbing minigame 3:17 & 3:43 Equip "Cups of Promise" to get special buff (Dmg buff for Bandit Attack & 30% knockdown for Manly Attack)

Awww Riou and Tir so nostalgic, I want to see them again. And Viki her unite attack with anyone in any series always hillarious. The only time she really useful in battle was in Suikoden 3 her summoning was so powerful.

As a kid i could only play the demo of Suikoden II. I was completely astonished by that badass intro video. Even tough i never got to really play it, i come back every once in a while to watch the intro video. Maybe i give the remaster a try when it comes out ^^.

This is better than any music video that I've ever watched...Every single pixel has it's heart through it's animations.

My top 5 Unite Attack 1. Double Leader ATK( Riou & Tir McDohl)- One word: Awesome. 2. Buddy ATK( Riou & Jowy Atreides)- My fav goes the first one, because the second one felt so wrong. 3. Flash ATK( Gantetsu, Bolgan & L.C. Chan)- Death by...SHINING HEADS!! XD 4. 100 Kobold ATK( Gengen & Gabocha)- Variation of Kobold ATK, kinda LOL. 5. Twin Fighter ATK( Wakaba & L.C. Chan)- These two could be the descendant of Ansatsuken fighters hehehe.

I played both Suikoden 1 & 2 a few months back for the first time. I was a bit sad that I glossed over these 2 RPG's in my youth but was pleasantly surprised to be able to play them both in quick succession :D. Thanks for this compilation. Even though I recruited everyone in both games I never had the time to try out every party combination so I never saw more than a 1/4 of these specials!

There is one more that might count. Seed and Culgan have one or two unite attacks themselves. One enchants electricity into the other ones sword.

possibly the only game where you can have two freaking octopi in your party

You can use Tir if you have a clean save from Suikoden 1, no matter how many destiny stars you gathered, just make a save in the last dungeon and you can convert It in Suiko 2. After you defeat Necklord you need to go do a city (forgot the name) and you will find Gremio and a mini-quest will happen.

Gothic neclord is the best backsound of suikoden all series,,,

Suikoden 1-2 is some of my all time fav jrpg

saw the whole vid, but 1:03 wins the award for best of all! 2:30 is a close second, 3rd goes to 5:10 for big guys with many sparkles, and 4th goes to 6:33 for team of little guys!

When I played this game (and probably one of the best ones at that) a couple of years ago, the unite attack I relied on towards the end of the game were Anita and Valeria (4:31). With Anita equipping Fury, and the latter equipping Balance Rune (so she wouldn't become unbalanced anytime) it made the game so easy to finish, but it def. has a reply value :DD

Yes, I was playing this on the PC. If you own the original game disks, you can run them off your computer using an emulator. I used ePSXe. If you don't own the original disks, you can use Google to look for an .ISO of Suikoden II.

I think you missed out on Riou and Tir's second animation of the Family ATK. Also, as someone else said, it'd be really cool if you'd little captions of the names of the unites. Though, it'd be better if you'd actually edit that on the video, instead of using annotations. Nice editing though and nicely done with the pictures on the side, it conveniently covers exactly the black bars one would see with flash on widescreen monitors... one might think you'd planned it >_o.
