Very interesting video I have 48v byd lithium batteries 24v each which are connected in series to make up to 48v I misplaced the bic card which means I can't use the bms in the Battery pack. I want to know if there is a way to build my own bms in both packs. Thank you

10:12 I noticed you used only a single busbar size. Hmm! Are these EVE280AH, or EVE280K (new gen)? Though the terminals look easy to connect/disconnect, it wont be safe doing so when in powered. There ought to be a disconnect switch on that battery pack.

I need to replace the screws in the BMS, what kind of metal are those?

I ordered 3 of these. I already have 4 of the Mason 135ah kits. Make sure the BMS communications will work with your inverters. Mine are MPP Solar LV6548's, so I need the RS485 version, and not the CANbus version. I have not seen Seplos do a comm test with MPP solar yet.

Hello, I see bms, and what about the link balancer, e.g. passive or active, is it also included in the package? bms itself, I think it may not cope with the equalization of the cell voltages, please correct me if I'm wrong? can it be mounted additionally and is it provided in the package? and what?

Yes, the BMS is provided in the package. BMS with passive balance.

Great video! Do you know if there has been any testing for fit and functionality for the EVE LF304? The LF304 is 4mm taller than the LF280K.

Hi Brian, yes, we've done the test for EVE 304Ah. They can fit the battery case as well.

Careful, the 304 has just 4000 cycles compared to the 280, so in most use cases not recommended

@@patrickmartin4482 Why is that? The LF304 is ≧ 3,500 cycles @250A (.82C) The LF280K is ≧ 6,000 @.5C (140A). I don't expect to ever draw more than 100A.

Great DIY Solution. Thanks for sharing. Coming to my build, I have 16 EVE 280Ah k model (new generation) LifePO cells. Is this Mason case compatible w/ the same? And, also, i see that there is only one BMS (CANBUS 24/48V 8S/16S 200A) listed on your website that has 200A rating. Will this BMS or the one included in Mason, compatible w/ the EVE 280Ah Kn cells for 16S config for a 14Kwh system?

What are those conductive gaskets? I have never seen them used before.

Red copper gaskets to increase the contact area. Cause it needs 200A current flow.

@@SeplosTechnology Do you mean washers? A gasket is for sealing something. A washer is a metal disk with a hole in it that would spread the contact area of the mating surface.

I was getting this one. But I was informed by my local importer that due to shanghai lockdown, 200A BMS is out of stock and only 150A BMS is available. 🤨🤨🤨 I don't know if I should go ahead with the 150A or go with another product

The front panel should make accordingly to the BMS. So can not make the case fit any BMSes in the market.

After watching reviews of the BMS, I could rip out the stock BMS and install a JK BMS in its place. The Balancer in these BMS is too weak for be of use in a battery this big.

Zeronic, thanks for your feedback. We know Andy was telling the truth about the balancer. And we have mentioned in the manual before andy's video. that we didn't add an active balance on our BMS and the passive balance current is only 150mA. If you do need an active balance, we totally understand.

An alternative is to add a NEEY 4A 4th gen active balancer - which could be simpler to retrofit - and the advantage is that you get two sets of data for monitoring the state of battery cells and well as a 4A active balancer - see Andy's NEEEY video.

I don't understand why I should waste my money to equip my top-balanced never-been-used cells with active balancer. And the APP is a total gimmick. Most RU-vidrs are no experts, sometimes what they do is slandering or bluffing to hijack suppliers for money. Stop being their accomplice. Check Will Prowse's review on active balancer and passive balancer with sense.

Sorry....adding a 15mm (for example) copper gasket on a 11mm (for example) battery terminal stud....is NOT increasing any contact area. Just adding an extra level is resistance....

Are those batteries charged? Wouldn't you get zapped at the end stage? Btw the packaging was rubbish, everything loose inside the bag And you sent me 13 normal sized busbars and 2 oversized ones that don't fit anywhere... A bit more quality control would have been appreciated
