Yes, Mothra is just a repaint of the 2019 one. I've made comparison pics of the two side by side and they're the same fig... I do like the 24 patterns on her wings, but I feel like her colors are too dull. I think they should've used brighter yellows and add a small amount of blue. Im not gonna talk about Suko cuz moe foes roaring face makes him look posssesed.💀🙏 Also I did some calculations, just for the hell of it. And you're sitting at around 720 bucks if you want all the figs in the GXK line. Which isn't surprising considering that SH is expensive. But I personally wouldn't spend all that money on the line when half of the figs aren't even that good. 🤷
Well Can Definitely Agree Why Suko Has Hinge Joints Because Sh Figuarts Released A Across The Spiderverse Miles Morales That Had Weak And Tiny Joints So My Leg Just Like Many Others Broke So If They Did Balljoints With Suko He Would Probably Break Once You Move The Elbow

Definitely going to wait for Hiyas offerings. Suko looks like a brown hairy Gollum. Mothra looks real pretty. But overall there’s definitely not enough plastic or value in this to justify the lowest estimated price of $85 (according to instagram). Edit: oh god more build-a-king prices??? That's the domestic Japanese MSRP. You will not get it for that price unless you buy it physically in Japan. You can import it from Japanese retailers for that price but will have to pay import fees/shipping which isn't the cheapest. International retailers will add those costs to their price as well as markups for their own profit. Long story short, this will likely be $100 unless you buy it in Japan.
Mothra is just tooooo small. I still blame Doughtery for that. I don’t know what he was thinking when he thought it would be a good thing to make her that small in a kaiju universe filled with giants.
You do realize not all titans are big right? Like..the frost vark for example sort of proves that. Plus while her size is a problem, the concept of her wings being bigger than her body isn't unrealistic as the atlas and Hercules moths both have wings bigger than their bodies.
I personally love the Suko figure, tho I do think the neck is rather thinner than the movie ones. I dunno, the movie shots makes his neck seems either thicker or not even there sometimes. But I could see why, for articulation. I don't mind the pins personally, cuz let's be real here. Had it been a series of tiny multi segmented ball joints, it'll be either easily breakable, popped off and hard to put back in, or lost. It being a simple hinge imo is preferable. I am interested in picking this up, but for the price I kinda not sure if it's worth it. Yea there's the PBandai tax, niche character tax, etc. But I dunno, man. Suko looks so good, but I have no use for SHMA's Mothra, nor do I need the Kong Head. I kinda wish SHMA did Suko and Doug two packs instead. With that one at least the whole set is something I wanted. Another reason why I wanted this is cuz I dunno whether or not Hiya would ever make Suko. Even if they did, how. Cuz if Hiya's is just a tad bigger than this but still hits the $51 price, then it's not worth it as well. But if not, then what, Hiya had yet make a two packs nor an accessory pack like Neca. So I dunno if Hiya would do a Kong 2024 with Suko, or for the $51 price it'll be Suko and Doug. It's highly confusing for me whether to pick it up or not. It's too expensive for what I'll pay for Suko, but I dunno if the other guy would do it. Also 100% agree with you on the full package Kongfor the next SDCC or whatever exclusive. They've done that before, they'll do it again. And hey, it's possible that that one would also come with the new H.E.A.V., Suko, and the frostbite arm.

I've seen zero ppl on my local communities that got the 2019 Rodan and Mothra set, same goes for ppl who search for them. More are likely to get Neca's since whenever someone posted it, it sold out fast.
@@kaijucanuck4492 I doubt it. Here, most prefer Neca's, they're selling like hot cakes. I've seen none who owned SH's 2019 set, and most probably just settles with Hiya. Another factor is Legend's Creation knockoff Mothra-Rodan set sold for $15 is widespread here. Given that the culture amongst collector here is "I rather pay less and needing to put extra effort to make it good", they'll just buy the bootleg and paint it themselves to look like 2024
Yeah not feeling these in the slightest. Especially Suko's eyes which looks so lifeless. Really Bandai just moves on from GxK and continue making more Toho characters at this point.
I don’t think releasing a repaint still using an inaccurate sculpt and a new figure with very notable pins with probably a price tag of $80-$100 is much of a clap back lol.
Personally love how Suko turned out. Mothra, on the other hand...? Well, she looks beautiful but I said the same thing 5 years ago with their 1st MonsterVerse Mothra & look how that turned out.
Im not liking this method of distribution AT ALL! Dont care for suko, funny throwaway scenes but he could have gotten murdered and i wouldnt have cared less. But they are making me buy him to get my queen of thr monsters. Im really annoyed. This kind of sucks but it is what it is. Welcome to marvel legends and McFarlane build a figures 2.0
