Earlier times, there was a family support system in a joint family. But in today's world, if something happens to the husband, who will take up the burden of financially supporting the family. The woman should be prepared for that.

yes..me too took up the entry level job at the age of 45 with no previous job experience whatsoever. At home we never talk back but at the job slowly and gradually learned how to stand up for me! 20 years of job time has taught me so much that I could never ever been able to learn as a housewife! I am proud of myself. Though for my family members I am the same very accommodative family member who can be walked over by anybody! 😀

Can we change our mentality? To go for a job is not the only solution for utilizing ladies' education! If husband manages to earn enough, ladies can use their time, energy and education to uplift society by offering free service, joining as a volunteer to some organizations. It's a need of society and to work without taking money gives us freedom of time bound, hectic, stressful and works. We work as per convenience with respect in society as well as peace of our minds and useful for progress of society. I do it and lucky that my daughter in law does same in the field of her choice. Think in this direction.

It totally depends on one's choice if they want to do free service /Voluntary work or earn for their financial freedom. but change should start in girls before marriage itself.they should get married only after taking decisions about what they really want in their life. A girl life is as equal as a boy .A girl life is not meant to only satisfy a man's life and be an assistant/servant in some cases. She also have feelings,emotions , thoughts,ideas like a man.

After slogging for almost a decade, today I am able to just relax and be at home for my family - dont wanna get back to corporate jobs ever even if they offer diamonds. In case of double income couples, both end up having to share the household chores which the guy in this story clearly wasnt ready to do. Both should have discussed these things before getting married.

Talking about this case, of the groom side is thinking she will be WASH DISHES at home after being an engineer, then that's their fault. Having home maker wife can be a choice but people generally find some BA, home science girl for marriage. In your case, you make a decision that suits you and u completely ur right. But girls need to be financially independent in the era of extra marital affairs, cheaters because I have seen some women who know their husbands are cheating on them still they tolerate as they are totally dependent on husbands. Also why does the wife need to quit the job for the sake of children and familiy.. they should manage it half -half. And if someone really wants to marry house maker then they should go for any 10-12th passed girl

आजकाल वर्क फ्रॉम होमही शक्य आहे.त्या ऑप्शनचा विचार करावा.खरंतर पती पत्नी दोन्हीही वर्कींग असणं आपल्या देशाच्या प्रगतीला हातभार लावणारे आहे.पैसा हातात आला तर क्रय शक्ती वाढते.कंपन्यांनीही वर्क फ्रॉम होमला सपोर्ट केला तर देश अधिक सुबत्ता असलेला होईल.आजकाल कंपन्या पुन्हा ऑफिसमधे बोलवू लागल्या आहेत.पण विचार करण्याची गोष्ट आहे की आई वडिल एकमेकांना संभाळून घेत काम व घर संभाळतील तर मुलांकडे निट लक्ष देतील.संस्कार करतील.घरात मुल संभाळायला बाई ठेवली तरी तिच्यावरही लक्ष ठेवतील.वृद्ध माता पिता असतील तर त्यांनाही सुरक्षित वाटेल.सगळ्याच बाजुने विचार करता असा जॉब असल्यास पहावा.

Savitribai Phule was a teacher and a social worker. There is a price to be paid for everything. I read about a Britisher female who decided never to work outside the house to be able to take care of her children, because she missed her mother when she was herself a child. Educated women can do a lot for the society using their education without getting tied to 9-5 job, which is no more 9-5. Sixty years ago, I saw a working woman dragging her little girl to be left in creche and scolding the child "If I miss my train because of you, I will smash you." Life's choices are not easy.

मला जॉब सोडायला लागला ..मुलांसाठी दुसरा काहीच पर्याय नव्हता, म्हाताऱ्या सासूबाई होत्या, कोण बघणार घरचं सगळं, मुलांचं शिक्षण त्यांची आजारपणं,खुप असतं, प्रत्येक बाईला independent होणं आवडतं पण घरच्या जबादारीने काढता पाय घ्यावा लागतो,
