I’ve been using this kit for 20 years +. The kiwi line is great and the shirts are good and I’ve used it Asia a lot. Malaysia, Thailand, Nepal, and Central America. I have had the elastic in the waistband replaced as that failed but other than that all is sweet. Now serving me well in hot Australia
Most of my current outdoor stuff is Craghopper, good brand. Possibly some bad news they are now owned by Regetta. They did a ripstop version of the Kiwi trousers which seem to have sold like hot cakes however they are not making more for some reason.
Wearing my Kiwis, with the legs off at the moment. I've got a few pairs of trousers and a short. Mostly from charity shops for a few quid. Good kit. Good video too. Cheers.
Cool video Neil, I have 2 of the shirts you are wearing, the green and a beige colour one, brilliant shirts, had them years, cant fault them, in this weather, when I stop for a break, if I've heavily sweated, I can wash in some water, lay against my walking poles, and by the time I've finished a brew, it's nearly dry, I wear mine alot around the woods too,and they are rather robust in that regard ,against brambles, branch's etc, surprised given the fabric, but there you go, I wear mine year round, useful as one of my layer system too, loving the videos, good health and safe travels, cheers craig 🙏 🌿
I must have about 12 pair of pants ( Base camp, Kiwi, nosilife, and insulated) plus about 15 shirts. I've bought from about 1995. As l watched your superb video clad in my shirt and pants. I checked out each feature with you. SPOOKY!
Totally agree about Craghoppers, I live in their Classic Kiwi trousers in town and in the woods. I have never had any fire damage to them. Keep up the great videos, God Bless, Adrian.
I have been a fan of Craghoppers for years, but after renewing some kit after eating too many pies I've found the pockets are much smaller on the newer variants, to the point my phone won't sit comfortably in the trouser pockets. I'm kind of veering towards Decathlon Forclaz now, similar kind of market niche, not as hard wearing, but very well thought out and cheap as chips.
I have at least 4 pairs of craghopper trousers. I have a pair of kiwi winter trousers that have a thermal lining yet they still dry really fast, I use them for boat fishing as well as winter walks.
I bought two of there shirts and trouser when I first started in bushcraft. Have done me fine for a few years now. Only complaint, the sleeves and inside leg measurements are a tad short for a tall person like me.
I love Cragghoppers trousers and shirts. Definitely some of the most comfortable stuff I've worn and well priced too. My only gripe is the little details on the Kiwi Pro trousers. About 5 (ish?) years ago the pocket linings, zipper pulls and belt loops changed for much cheaper/smaller materials which really spoiled them. That said, apart from the pocket lining, which chafes my delicate 🤣 skin a little, non of the changes have particularly altered performance for me. Overall still well made, comfy and last. 👍
If I've learnt anything as a bushcrafter it's to never use the term "bushcraft" in any item or clothing searches unless you want to drain your back balance in seconds. Also, welcome to Australia mate. Bloody crazy times 🔥
Neil I own plenty of bear ghryls clothing and craghoppers both are exactly same only difference is with bear you pay stupid amounts to have privalage of bear ghrylls on clothing I used craghoppers for few years now you can't fault it except I don't like the micro zips they always go on me so I can't zip pockets up but other than that issue it's exellent clothing 👍🇬🇧🐾🦊🍀
Most of my clothes seem to be Craghopper at the moment,😂 I get them at sale prices, 60% or 70% discount at times! Haven’t seen this one before, I have a similar rip stop one in a thick material, without the arm pocket, so I just got one of the shirts like yours at 30% off.😁 By the way, that shirt is about £70 odd, reduced to a tad over £50, think it’s a while since you last checked prices!😧🤣🥴
@@greencraft4783 You got it at a good price then!😁. I do like the extra hidden pockets and other features that many of their shirts have, I believe this one also has a glasses cleaning cloth. I also have two pairs of trousers I got about 25 years ago that I just can’t wear out, sadly, they don’t fit now, but saving them for the day they will again, they used to get worn nearly all the time, they just keep going, albeit, a tad faded, but not much!🤣. Their NosiLife Pro Adventure Trousers are very good if you can get them reduced, a lighter version of the Fallraven ones. They seem to have a permanent sale going on on their website, check out their Leroy Long Sleeved Shirt, it is 70% off, from £85, down to £25, just the thing for when it gets chilly.
there a great brand but its always hard2 find 3xl size gear, n its only the shirts that I'm on about, no issues with there trousers, I'm a big lad at 5'11 52inch chest and a 38 inch waist so not a fat just a big lump, n the shirts just2 measure up, which is such a shame!!
CRAGHOPPERS Kiwi trousers and zip offs used to be very good until they changed them a few years ago and cheaper, out on the design and quality. Such a shame.
