Every instructor needs to watch the first 5 minutes of this video. Just because you got your black belt after 10 years of doing bjj one way doesnt mean that's the best way!

2 months later I'm getting props on my turtle from the higher belts in class.. can't wait for Tallinn camp this May. Still so much to learn from Priit and so much I can make better with my turtle. I want to be super dangerous from the position.

37:00 - This is such a brilliant approach to drilling and learning with a feedback system. Reminds me of non linear pedagogy. Priit is awesome!

It’s was a great seminar but l strongly suggest the you have better camera person to always face you or be slightly at a 30 degree angle when recording you. They also need to be in close range so the people watching the video can hear better. Over l learned quite a bit to study and adapt in the turtle. This is moving Jujitsu forward. Thank you for sharing your skills to make us better Jujitsu practitioners Coach Priit🧥🤼‍♂️

YES on ditching the ridiculous 20 minute warm-ups at some BJJ places. Stretch out, functional BJJ warm-ups, then techniques and train.

Can't find the book "There is no talent" on amazon. Does anybody know it or the author?

quite late to reply, but i believe this the book Priit refers to "Talent Is Overrated / By: Geoff Colvin"
@dorjedriftwood2731
@dorjedriftwood2731 3 года назад
There is also book called talent doesn’t exist. Not sure which one of the two. Doesn’t exist or overrated. I am going to listen to more interviews and see if I can nail it down.

how are they not having rear naked chokes? I checked most of his vids, this is still beyond me, anyone can help maybe? thanks.
@caseyjordan9513

You mean, how do you defend the RNC? The RNC is not dangerous if they cannot control your body rotation either via hooks or an underhook. So if you deny those things and just turn into the choke they cannot choke you
@soundtorial4567
@soundtorial4567 4 года назад
as long as the opponent cant set up for example a body triangle, just turn 90 degrees as soon as he goes or the rnc. makes them look stupid, dont forget to smile :P
@balvsmalvs5425
@balvsmalvs5425 3 года назад
When most people think of the rear naked choke, they think of the arm around the neck. But, like others have said, if you can't stop the rotation, you don't really have a RNC.

Cant find the book "how to learn" - which author is it? Thanks

yes
@dorjedriftwood2731
@dorjedriftwood2731 3 года назад
@@prideneverdies1001 I believe the book is “teach students how to learn” there is a Sufi book called how to learn... not sure that’s it both books he alludes to are not properly phrased but it might be that English is his second language and he is reading these books in a foreign language which typically necessitates changing titles to not overlap with other books already being sold so the English titles might be entirely different.

Bodyflow mobility material by Scott Sonnon is way better than yoga in function for combat sports and combat as well every day function and it's not a religion of the serpent.
