Jurassic World Evolution is a fun park builder primarily for the fact that it's fucking dinosaurs and dinosaurs kick ass. Why it deserves the criticism it got though is because JWE was missing the innovations that have become common core in park builder games for the last like, at least 5 years.

And judging by the fact that the textures and other things like the hair effects looked very “last-gen,” I’m sure most (but not all) of it was gameplay. Hopefully it won’t be running in back-compat mode on PS5. I imagine that by the time the game drops they’ll have a native PS5 binary (though I doubt it’ll have any next gen optimizations at launch; the game was developed from day 1 to support last gen consoles - can’t fault them for having focused on that more.) Can’t wait!

Jurassic evolution was fun for an hour and that was mostly coz of the bloom. But all the buildings looked the same and it was less a theme park and more a nature reserve. I don't remember any roller coasters.

Nah fam, if they give us a trailer for BotW2 in the same vein as this Elden Ring trailer, it'll take the whole week. The last time Nintendo made a direct sequel to a Zelda game (not counting the DS Wind Waker followups since they were on handheld and had to make significant changes to accommodate the weaker hardware) was Majora's Mask, and if you thought you knew what MM would be like just because you'd played Ocarina of Time, man you would be so fucking wrong. I am betting this game is gonna completely blow BotW out of the water in a way we can't possibly predict.

Ugh.. if Microsoft buys Sega, it would be the end of them. Their primary fanbase is PlayStation followed by PC and Switch. While the majority of the Xbox fanbase don't care much for Sega's games, which is evident by the sales numbers of multiplatform games from Sega.

Lmao bro hype is built around the entire souls series and we never know anything about the game until it comes out. The thing with cyberpunk is that expectation we’re built extremely high for it, people legit thought it was gonna be the game of the century. The difference between Elden ring and cyberpunk is that we know exactly what we’ll be buying, a open world souls game. Nothing more than that, and nothing less

If you watched the Elden Ring trailer and it impressed you/ you are excited for the game what are some reasons or things in the trailer that have you excited? Asking because personally the game just does not have me interested and i didn't find the trailer very impressive either. Not bashing on the game im sure it will be good, just curious what people are seeing in it that have them so hyped. It may just be the game genre for me that is holding me back. I have played a few soul like games but im more of a competitive shooter fan (more excited for things like Battlefield and Halo). Thanks to anyone who chimes in!

Not everything is made for everyone, you don't have to like it just because everyone else likes it. I have played almost all souls-like games, they are my thing and the trailer looks incredible to me. On the other hand, I don't fancy FPS games at all. So If you don't get excited by the trailer maybe it's not your cup of tea. You can give similar games or this one when it comes out a try if you're curious. Maybe you'll like it, who knows?

Are you a souls fan? If you every played a dark souls game or bloodborne you would probably understand. On the surface the graphics may not be the best, but its expectstion that comes with knowing that its the next big souls game that had us fans excited. Soulsborne games are extremely unique, which is why a whole new genre was made out of it. I cant wait to see the next big iteration of the souls formula and fight all the new bosses. I also love the boss designs, especially the guy with the big arm in the end

@Sahil Singhal yes I'm talking graphics. Art design cannot hide the VERY poor textures and detail. Compare this to the recent rachet and clank and its not even close. I understand that R&C was more of a tech demo for the PS5 but that's just a comparison I'm using to show the difference between outdated and modern. Even a game like Last of Us 2 (terrible game but graphics were amazing) its just not even close. I'm sure the gameplay and all will be great and the world will be fantastic but the overall graphics has me bummed. And you know this was showcased on a badass PC so the console versions will look even worse. Its just a small gripe but I expected more from one of the most anticipated games of all time

@Sahil Singhal well we can agree to disagree. With all that time they've had to make this game you'd think it'd look better. Even Cyberpunk looked leagues better than this on current consoles. Other studios get absolutely dragged through the mud for their graphics (recently 343 and Halo Infinite forcing them to delay the game) but a game this gets overlooked because of the fanboyism. Its baffles me

I think people are hyped because Elden Ring looks like a combination of everything From Software learned making Sekiro and Dark Souls. Personally I hope they are not showing the big surprises like they did with Bloodborne.

@Sahil Singhal It's not a bad thing I'm just not excited about that part of it. If it's another Dark Souls but bigger that's fine, but with 5 years in development and a new IP they must have something else up their sleeve. That's what I'm hoping for anyway.
