Summer Game Fest Expectations Are NOW Set | Games NOT Attending & More 

Geoff Keighley always does this and for some reason people are surprised every year 😂 hype up the show and then a few days before it happens he brings you down to earth.

Summer Games Fest is definitely not an E3 successor. I just can’t take Keighley seriously after an underwhelming Game Awards last year.

I mean people say they want shorter more sustainable AA and indie style games and the AAA high fidelity 100 hour blockbuster juggernaut games don't matter anymore....well......this is what that is gonna look like if you get it. The fact that Elden Ring DLC is the big thing most are excited for to me is proof positive that everybody humping these industry narratives are absolutely full of shit. Hypocrites all.

I am absolutely shocked Wolf Among Us 2 is not going to be there. They revealed that trailer over 5 years ago and still nothing. I know there's a lot of pressure, but this is getting ridiculous. This is why they need to be acquired by a big publisher like Sony so they can help with development

In other words get less hyped and keep your expectations low.

At least Sparking Zero is confirmed to be there at least.

This is why every direct, showcase, game fest or state of play I always go in with minimal expectations

I feel like it all comes down to perspective because I have seen multiple games that I am excited for and other fanbases are excited for also with the Summer Game Fest trailer that they put out which can lead to us saying it was one of the best but if you were looking for another game being shown and doesn't happen then people will see it as bad which is why I think it all comes down to perspective in the end and what someone is personally excited for. I do think that games like Phantom Blade Zero, Black Myth Wukong, and possibly Dragon Ball Sparking Zero could be big games this year along with others also due to what the games have offered so far from an art style and gameplay perspective.

I'm expecting Dragon Ag eDreadwolf to sho wup somewhere as Bioware did say we'd be getting more details of that in the summer but outsideof that I'm not expecting much.

As long as I get lego horizons, monoliths Wonder Woman and Jurassic park survival and maybe Jw evolution 3 I will be good

I learned a long time ago to temper my expectations with these events. 99% of the time they show one or two games I’m hyped for and everything else is bleh. Only thing I’m looking forward to this year is the DlC announcement for Alan Wake II

They need to show at least reveal trailers for RE9 and Tomb Raider.

Ngl the only thing I'm excited to see is Delta Force. Hopefully they’ll give a release date

I prefer this actually. I don't watch the game showcases because I only want to see flashy computer animated trailers for games years away, I watch these shows to see gameplay and console captures + release dates. The flashy computer animated trailers are fine, but without some followup these are pointless.

All I want to see at Summer Games Fest is Mafia 4. Other honorable mentions include an update on the development of the Max Payne 1 & 2 remakes & the MGS Snake Eater remake (possibly new teasers, trailers or gameplay). But other than those, the one I'm focused on is mostly Mafia 4, since I desperately need a new open world gangster game. The open world crime genre has become stale, dry & boring with the outdated GTA 5 being milked dry asf for over a decade so I want to see Mafia 4 breathe some excitement & new life into this stale genre. As long as they show Mafia 4, then I'm good.

Summer Borefest incoming?

Considering the fact that now all games unless they're from indie devs and fan made games are ruined by Woke/Liberal/Democratic/Cultists propaganda and ideologies and greed and considering the fact that all of the recent game events and game showcases have been super disappointing and lack luster my expectations for this year's Summer Games Fest are very very low and now with that said i'd like to see something Resident Evil related but more than likely there won't be anything at all
