Really shows that the "standard" school setting isn't fit for everyone, especially for those without parents to guide them along. Some kids just need a different approach and take a bit more time.
ms palmer should have been his teacher with every subject, maybe he wouldn't have had to leave in the end lol she was really cool, and it's rare that a teacher is that calm and collected with kids like that. it takes a particular kind of person and i commend her for that, she was always my favorite teacher in summer heights high.
I know most people love ja'mie and Mr G, but Jonah was really such a big social comment, the way he played this character really made me happy as a polynesian, it was so much truth and did more then just "play the character" he showed an in-depth in-site and sympathy for kids like Jonah and how important just one person "mrs palmer" believing in them an be :)
One thing I liked about the ending is how dismissive Jonah is when it comes to punking Kieran or how he’s showing gratitude towards Ms. Wheatley in front of his friends. Yes, he got some payback in the end but I also feel it’s his way of trying to get his friends to steer clear from ending up like him.
