We are Alex from Germany and Craig, a veteran from Alabama. For 14 years we have called Fairbanks our home where we live a modern life with our children, dogs and cat Emma in a beautiful wooded setting. Please join us this week as our youngest one gets his driver's license, we have our first camp fire for the season and enjoy a snow free garden.
Sending Love and Peace from Alaska

You guys keep tantalizing me with food!😃. Congrats lil dude! Be careful and watch out for the other guy! Craig, my deceased Ex played golf. He would say he shoots a 79, but the score cards I'd find said different!😆. I'm still finding golf balls around the yard years later in nooks and crannies. Thank you for your service. Alex, Happy Mothers Day! And my triggers are noise from loud music and loud cars! I NEED quiet to function. I'm seeking that everyday.

This is our intent🤪. I am glad Craig doesn’t practice a lot in the backyard. Logan might swallow the golf balls😀.

Thanks for answering our question. Craig can take loud better than I am. After being around loud noises I always need quiet time to recuperate.

A video on K9 training would be awesome 💯 Love your garden bed set up. I'm about to get out to mine tomorrow, as it's Autumn going to winter here in Australia. Needs a bit of a tidy up myself. Love seeing earth once more I bet. Hope your getting warm sunny days to enjoy. Sending good vibes your way from South Australia 🌏🦘

That’s a great idea! Just shared it with Craig. We have a lot of warm and sunny days in the forecast. I can’t wait to dig my fingers into the dirt again. How cold are your winters?

@@blackandwhiteinalaska Where I am in Australia is your equivalent to The lower 48. Our Tasmania is like your Alaska, and my coldest day there was -6°, which included, frozen car doors, pipes, black ice in the decking ECT. Where I am in South Australia, Is like your equivalent to southern end of Washington state. We just had a 2° the other night, but it felt more of a 0° . yes getting into those garden beds is so rewarding. It's therapeutic and satisfying. I have to pull some finished plants now. And turn the soil, I do my own organic fertilizer.

Thanks for sharing. It’s always so interesting to hear about different places on earth. I would love to hear more about your fertilizer.

@@blackandwhiteinalaska My fertilizer is made up of Thistle plant and Banana Peels soaked in water few several weeks as it ferments and breaks down in the water, it becomes a concentration. Scoop the material out of the bucket of water and leave the water for a week or two more. It does smell strong leave it somewhere no bears can come sniffing around for. Maybe have a lid you can seal tight in. When you are ready to use it put some in a bottle and fill it with water before pouring onto the plants. Feed the plants every couple of weeks especially when it's in flower and fruiting. The plants grow so much and helps supports the production process
