Love the skirt!! I bought my Elna sewing machine from Blaine’s sewing center in Warwick. They were very helpful, gave me a brief lesson and always willing to answer my questions. I so look forward to every lovely and enjoyable episode, Dianne! I wanted to let you know I tried both recipes from the last episode-the pesto and the chicken pesto pasta with mushrooms. Both were delicious and the chicken will be in our dinner menu rotation from now on. I did the pesto with walnuts as that’s what I had on hand. Are you making the sleeves longer on the Alpine Bloom? I need for my sleeves to be at least elbow length. Do you think that will be a problem? I haven’t bought the pattern yet, but before I purchase I’d like to know if I can add longer sleeves easily. Thanks for any input. Love the new friends story! I’ve also made new friends through knitting and my master gardener program, and they’re such a blessing, aren’t they!

Thanks for another beautiful episode of your podcast. I do have a question about the everyday wrap you showed a couple of episodes ago. In the pattern it says that in order to add the ruffles to knit 3 rows and then bind off. As there are no actual pictures of the ruffles in the pattern I was wondering whether these 3 rows are really enough. Did you knit yours exactly to this pattern or did you knit more rows? Good morning Sabine and thank you. I didn’t bother to seam. I put the end together and knit through both pieces for the first round, then an increase round then a Purl round another increase round and one more Purl round. You can certainly add another increase round and Purl round. I think based on your yarn choice and how ruffle you want it to look it’s a personal choice. Let me know how it goes.
